  1. Past hour
  2. i know you cant have all stars at every position, but they still have question marks at left guard and potentially swing tackle in the future. manu and sorsdal will be lucky to make the team. the borom signing is a good backup signing but it would be nice to have something there in the future. but its the nfl and the lions have to sign their talented players to good deals. crowds out a lot of depth.
  3. there were plenty of people saying brad only drafts bpa. "bpa" is just a silly concept. teams likely have a bunch of players with "grades" and then take one who fits an organizational need who falls within a certain tier. late rounds you can take a guy who is just all athlete or something, but the draft is their to fill future needs.
  4. Today
  5. One takeaway from each game tonight. Who had CJ and Kuminga leading the Hawks to a 2-1 lead? OK Johnson is a big part as well, but we mostly figured he would show up. I like the Raptors offense a lot better when they go through Barnes instead of Ingram. The ball moves a lot more. Denver and Jokic are awful on defense. McDaniels called your entire team bad defenders and you respond by proving him right? Sad.
  6. Just isolated Duren's net rating for the times Ausar is off the court and Duren is on. He is a -26.5 in that time.
  7. Duren is 22 which is still young for a big - has improved his defensive and offensive stats every season he has played so far. Have we seen peak Duren yet? You can make the same argument for Thompson based on his age with the caveat that Thompson's problem is shooting and the odds of a guy who can't even make a decent % of FT improving his shooting much don't excite me. OTOH, Duren can still become better by becoming a better defender. Which do you want to project?
  8. Duren is an elite rebounder and scorer in the paint and has shown a decent jumper from the line, be great if he shot it more...but he doesn't need to particularly often. I'm intrigued by the ability to pass out of the high post that he displayed when Cade was injured, I think he averaged around 4 assists in the last half dozen games or so and picked up 4 the other night. Ausar is a great defender and is fun to watch...but I'm not paying him max. He lacks discipline and control and has no real offensive game
  9. Love the way this offensive line was rebuilt the last two offseasons. It should have started a year sooner, but Brad and Dan have done a good job in paper rebuilding the line. It should become a strength of this team once again assuming Miller pans out, Mahogany/Fraizer continue to improve, and Mays gels well with those around him and his QB.
  10. 🤣bwaaaaahaaahahahaaaaaaaaa...no ser...bwahaaaaaaaahehhehe
  11. No one said he drafts purely BPA. But he certainly values talent over need and leans in the BPA direction. Most every media pundit and Lions insider will tell you how Brad leans heavily towards drafting the best player on his board. Blake Miller fit a need, yes. But I'm betting he was also high up on their board and they had a first round grade on him.
  12. If Jermod McCoy makes it to 40, Holmes will be on the phone.
  13. Am I bad person for wanting this kid announcing the pick to get cancer again?
  14. Tennessee moves up for Faulk, dooming his career.
  15. ausar is an ELITE defender. like one of the best in the league. duren is a bad defender. whatever he brings on offense by being tall and jumping high when he is fed by his elite passing point guard does not surpass what ausar brings in value on defense. i like duren, but he is replaceable in a way that ausar is not. both ausar and duren have to be surrounded by floor spacers because neither of them can shoot, but to me ausar brings more overall value because he is an elite lock down defender and creates offense off that skill. duren for $18m? cool. $20m? sure. $25m? sketchy. making as much as cade? gtfo.
  16. Jets moving up for a 3rd first round pick… 2029 will be interesting if they all work out. Since it’s the Jets they probably won’t.
  17. They are specifically defending him by packing the middle..they aren't doing that as much with Stew out there. One of the areas he improved in this year is his ability to facilitate from the high post down by either making an extra pass on the interior or kicking it out. He's the team's best rebounder..and I don't just mean statistically..and he makes the shots he takes and draws a lot of fouls. He the converts them at a high rate. He lead the league in true shooting %.... I like Ausar..but he's an even more "flawed" player than Duren in that he can not shoot...at all. I want to keep them both, but let's not Pretend that Ausar isn't seriously hampered offesnively
  18. No need. They already have her.
  19. Difficult to win in the playoffs with bad defense.
  20. With the 28th pick of the 2026 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots select… Dianna Russini???
  21. i think denver is in trouble.
  22. or james harden's.
  23. Mike Greenberg doesn't know what state Miami is in.
  24. Board is falling decently for them so far, but lots of picks to go and can change quickly. Several solid man corners and edge rushers that fit the Lions style still out there.
  25. Need that 5th year option in order to decline it for them to sign for ridiculous money with the Raiders.
