Thompson gets the attention as the rookie sensation, but Sasser looks his part as well. The last three drafts have yielded Cunningham, Ivey, Duren, Thompson, and Sasser. That’s a helluva way to inject talent and athleticism into a team that sorely needed it. -

Pretty good first half. The foul trouble between Wiseman/Stewart is concerning. Bagley looks to be improved this season. More comfortable, more competent, more consistent? -
I can completely understand how a head coach might not know every loose end of his coaching staff. But he’s still responsible as a head coach. Stalions was suspended pretty quickly at least as far as how this story first become public. That might work in Harbaugh’s favor. The CMU video and pictures are weird. There was no interaction between he and anyone else on the sideline? I get the coaching staff is busy throughout a game, but nobody noticed the stranger in sunglasses with a blue dot for a night game? That’s pretty effin’ ballsy to attempt if he didn’t belong there. I don’t know, maybe field visitors are commonplace. But I would bet the CMU coaching staff / athletic department / day game sideline staff is getting some heat over this, too.

Maybe it was DB Cooper in disguise as a CMU coach?
-
No, you’re thinking of Bobby Valentine.

Hey, are we s’pose’ta be getting free tacos soon? Didn’t someone steal a base?
-
Connor Stalions is an assistant coach that’s getting a lot of press lately, but I doubt it’s a fit.
-
What's taking him so long?

I'd still like to see a computer point system involved. Factor in strength of schedule, margin of victory, etc, and eliminate reputational biases and "victories" over FCS schools.

The committee has shown they will move teams around in order even if they all keep winning. I don't think his wasn't necessarily the case in the traditional polls. I like that its an evolving evaluation. I don't know that Michigan passes Ohio State if they beat Penn State and Maryland. Ohio State has already beaten that duo, plus they have the win at Notre Dame. I suppose it depends on how they beat Penn State. Ohio State had them at home and Michigan travels to Penn State. Washington has a trio of ranked opponents coming up, although Utah seems to be on QB3 now? Their defense seems to be a little lacking, but a lot of defenses seem to be. If they can win their road games (USC, Oregon State), I think they're likely to be undefeated heading into the PAC championship game.

Why not Michigan at 1?
-
I don’t know if anybody does, to be honest. I wonder if these earlier rankings would be better served by ranking in tiers rather than in absolute order?

BSD started using OPS rather than AVG in some of its windows this season. I don’t recall when the switch started, but once it started, it seemed permanent.

Wow. As Yogi would probably say, home teams just aren’t very good at home this postseason.

What should be the correct top 6?
-
Maybe, maybe not. Doesn’t matter just yet anyway.

That’s dumb. My wife and I were just talking about it. It’s the first Halloween that we can remember (since 1999) that it’s snowed. We are sitting in the garage and you could hear it hitting the leaves. It’s sticking to the grass and leaves, and it really hasn’t been cold here yet. Had our first frost last night. I ain’t ready for it. I’ve grown less tolerant of winter over the years.

It’s snowing.

But a first round bow out will be worth it (to the Clippers’ era teams that we grew up with).
-
Actually, that looks more like Michigan’s out of conference schedule than Day.
-
Mystery Machine Theory: It was Ryan Day dressed as Connor Stalions dressed in CMU gear. How about that one? And he would’of gotten away with it if it weren’t for these meddling kids.
-
I was going to dress as Connor Stalions for Halloween, but I don’t have any CMU garb. Shucks.

Matt Shepard Out as Tigers PBP, Jason Benetti In.

Sure, how many DHs can they stuff into a batting lineup? -
Is this an invite 12 years too late? We were on a 12 hour car ride to Vermillion, SD with a 4 year old and a 3 month old. They did incredibly well on both the out there and the back home legs of the trip, so can't complain there, and it probably helped to split that car ride into 2 days. I remember watching a Tigers-Yankees playoff game out there and then somewhere around the I80 truck stop metropolis where we landed for a night heading back home.
