  1. There is another total eclipse in April of 2024. If my house isn’t in the path of total eclipse, it’s damn near close to it. I’m taking the day off to stay home and enjoy the shenanigans.
  2. Justin-Henry Malloy works a bases loaded walk off of Joe Jimenez in the bottom of the 9th to take win Bud Light World Series brought to you by the Bernstein Law Firm 5 games to 4.
  3. Minnesota Timberwolves vs Detroit Pistons
  4. Trade Cabrera to them so they have someone to watch.
  5. Its all relative. If somebody offered me $340M today, then $300M in a month, and then I had to settle for $200M in two months? Cool, where do I sign up?
  6. There's still time for a 4th.
  7. Detroit Pistons vs Philadelphia 76ers
  8. Trade away from depth at RP to try to fill holes elsewhere on the roster. Backfill the RP with free agent signings and/or internal promotions. I like it.
  9. Is Chafin a mentor type for younger pitchers? He was a loose spirit and a fan favorite, but I’m not sure that’s necessarily the kind of veteran presence that leads a young bullpen. Or maybe he could be, heck, what do I know?
  10. Yooper and Shelton are in an OOTP league that all of the cool kids are in. And me, too.
  11. Look at those strikeout and walk rates. It didn’t take long to replace Soto.
  12. A Gonzalez or Tony Phillips type of guy that can play 4 or 5 times a week at multiple positions is a nice player for any team to have on the roster.
  13. Well, there is that, too. The injury helps the draft lottery situation, but at some point the youth and potential needs to blossom into wins.
  14. Off ball movement would be nice as well. Heck, a combo of the two. If they could acquire/develop a Reggie Miller / Richard Hamilton moving & shooting threat.
  15. Philadelphia 76ers vs Detroit Pistons
  16. It appears that he’s still a free agent.
  17. This is the way I remember Thomas and Dumars. Generally it was Thomas’ show, but Dumars was adept at handling the point with Thomas off of it at times. And then with Johnson playing off of the ball when he was on the floor, it was Thomas/Dumars running things while Dumars/Thomas was on the bench. Its definitely a different game now, and the collection of Cunningham, Ivey, and Hayes is a different skill set individually and collectively than the Palace guards were. Hayes has progressed despite earlier frustrations with his draft selection and development. Cunningham and Hayes have shown potential. Can they find cohesiveness as a trio or maybe a quartet with a defensive minded veteran added into the mix?
  18. It is amusing to me that I’ve seen/heard several mentions of the Phillies unlocking something with Soto. Sure, I’m no fan of Soto. And I think highly of Fetter. So I, probably biased. But if a team were likely capable of finding and unlocking something with a relief pitcher, it would seem strange to me that it wouldn’t be the Tigers with what Fetter has done with other relievers. It’s entirely possible Fetter & Soto aren’t a good combination, no question. But the odds seem unlikely in my worthless opinion.
  19. Oh no, they traded Kole Clemens? Now I’m having second thoughts.
  20. Take it easy on him. He usually wears a helmet & mask. He’s not used to the standard cap. You know, that’s probably why he has that look on him. He probably wanted to take the photo in full gear and the photo crew didn’t oblige.
  21. It is probably even better than that.
  22. Soto was seen cleaning out his locker. He kept missing the box that he was trying to throw his stuff into.
  23. This guy wears the tools of ignorance for a living? Dig it.
