That’s how I feel. We all understand things happen throughout a baseball season that create a reality that can be different from preseason perception. So, while I think that they are the best team in the division right now., I realize they aren’t guaranteed of anything. Rewind a year. Did everyone see Houston missing the 2025 playoffs? I doubt it. But it happened.

You’re incredibly thin skinned in regards to any notion of negative criticism of Scott Harris. He definitely doesn’t deserve to be run out of town. But he also doesn’t walk on water.

Agreed. I'm not sold on the pitching depth for the 2026 season. I think there are enough pieces and parts to out a reasonable offense on the field.

Gift interception was a 10 point swing. They were in position for a reasonable field goal. Yes, a further FG attempt was missed later in the 2nd half, so 3 probably shouldn't be assumed. But take that interception away and the score at halftime is probably only be a 7 point difference at max. The offensive line was brutal in the first half. Sayin had no time for anything. They couldn't run outside but had more success in between the tackles. Ironic considering they pretty much tried to run in between the tackles against Indiana (to no success) and had more success with running outside.

So that means he’ll have to rest for a few games. I won’t deny the guy’s talent. But I like availability, which he lacks in for whatever reason.

Well, there’s another variable. Will the Tigers need much offense out of him or will his defense be enough. It’s not just his bat. It’s how well the Tiger offense is performing overall.

So what’s the point of voting east vs west? Just pick the best 16 domestic and 8 international.

Was his swing just too long in general or did he struggle mostly low in the zone? Kid has long limbs, so I can see how it’d be easy to get too long.

Yes, unless…… ….. Bickerstaff needed to make a point with the team. I don’t know that that’s the case, it’s speculation on my part. If that were the case, I don’t like the loss but I understand the lesson (maybe).

I had planned on watching this game tonight, right about now. I found out the score by accident this morning. I guess if I’m going to lose interest on a game by finding out the hard way, this is probably one of the ones that I’m fine to have that happen with.

Looking at the first sentence of his quote, if Bickerstaff was going with a lineup of guys that seemed more into the game than others, I'm fine with it. I can't think back to that game, I don't know if it seemed like guys were mailing it in. Maybe that was some of the issue, I don't know. If that was the case, this team has some depth now. So, if someone ain't there with effort, put someone else in. I have no problem with that.

Same. I've been critical of the Keith situation (how he's been handled, his output, etc). Key to note he has put up good offense for his age and he hasn't found much of a power stroke yet. He could be a guy that has an impressive leap this season.

I was looking at the discrepancy in attempts/makes for the game? Interesting that you bring this up. I think Kelser brought up FT% during the game, too.

I get thrown off by college teams that have teal as a color since that color wasn’t invented until the 1990s. New Mexico has some teally looking shirts on today. Coastal Carolina adorns itself in the hue.

I think McKinstry’s playing time will decrease. I think Vierling will get most of his playing time in OF. Keith won’t play 162 at 3B, so sure, Vierling, McKinstry, others will find some time there. I don’t know, I just suspect Keith becomes more of an everyday lineup guy by Memorial Day.
