    Well, the counter to that is that Valdez has had 3 completely abysmal starts that have damaged his season stats. It was posted somewheres around here within the last day or two. Flaherty to the IL allows for Montero to stay in the rotation for now.

    The Tiger OF as a whole has contributed a -4.3 bWAR season to date. Good for dead last in MLB. Greene, Malgeri, and Meadows are the only OFs with positive WARs.

    In the 1980s, the Tigers traded for a Cub in exchange of a player to be named later. The player that was traded for ended up being the player to be named later. I thought it was Moreland, but it’s another player. I’ll offer 3,912 points (the points ain’t redeemable for diddly freaking pooh) to whomever comes up with the answer.

    I heard that, too. I guess I wonder did he know to what degree he was hurt? Was it comparable to his TJ? Did he think he could just push through it like I would guess most athletes do?
