"No decent depth" It seems to me that we are seeing the depth right now. Injuries have decimated this team and then the trade deadline thinned it out even more. I'm not saying that who we have playing right now are high quality players, but they do show the depth that has been built. Someone like Badoo was starting just a couple of years ago. Now he is only playing because of all the injuries and trades. Imagine who would be playing now if we lost this many players a couple of years ago. The fact that this team is kind of holding it together right now seems to be a bit of a testimony to some depth that has been built.

I know nothing about these minor league players, but from what I've read here, I like the deal...keeping in mind the Tigers renewed focus on both development and utilizing a player's strength. This new catcher is left handed and has a good eye at the plate. If they can develop his receiving skills to be average or above (which they have show they can do with Kelly), then they might have the perfect back up catcher in a couple of years...one who can let Dinger sit against tough right handed pitchers and can be used as a lefty pinch hitter on his off days. That seems like it could be a pretty valuable piece possibly ready in (what I hope to be) our window of contention.

So much silence here...even on a Skubal day. It feels like this past week has signaled the final expiration of the little bit of hope for this season that had remained for even diehard fans like us.

I am going to miss those feelings of awe and amazement I had at how he could so badly miss a blatantly obvious call and show no doubt or remorse whatsoever while tossing the person rightfully complaining out of the game.

Agreed. Very enjoyable podcast. So far the only Tigers podcast I can stomach.
