  1. I'm convinced the only times Rob Wittman comes south of the York is to pick up his annual bonuses from Newport News Shipbuilding
  2. You're in the tenth, right?
  3. I think the Virginia turnout is fueled by a combination of election fatigue...three "major elections in three years" and a number of Congressional districts where there is only one question on the ballot and the makeup of the district leaves it where there is no contest to speak of. There are only two districts in the state where there is likely to be a close contest. Three years of political ads can wear a person out if they're not political
  4. Where did I put my conspiracy cap?
  5. Especially with an aging population/base. Seniors don't particularly like to stand in line. Especially when you can stop on your way home from lunch/shopping/doctor visits etc. Who wants to make a special trip to the local school/church/community center on a Tuesday?
  6. Yep, she's been groomed. I bet they weren't librarians either
  7. Powerball numbers delayed because some state's lottery agency can't get its books straight. Could be a harbinger of things to come
  8. The same with our ballot. Choice between the incumbent Trump toady, Independent guy who quotes 2000 Mules and a retired Army colonel and former county official with an impressive resume. The election is baked, unfortunately unless the Independent somehow manages to take enough votes away from the incumbent which is unlikely. Voted by mail a few weeks ago..
  9. I haven't seen this posted but looks like an interesting add to the coaching staff
  10. Not necessarily new... https://www.reuters.com/world/us/russias-prigozhin-admits-interfering-us-elections-2022-11-07/
  11. When he declares he'll lose all RNC legal funding...
  12. The way term limits are currently set up a rep is just getting his feet wet before he is either forced out or moves on to a different office. So basically they start campaigning for their next job almost immediately. The way the proposal reads it gives the elected official a chance to learn the lay of the land rather than be governed almost exclusively by professional non elected aids which seems to be the case currently.
  13. Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.....
  14. Probably sucking on the same toothpick. I saw a few shots of him last night without it. Almost didn't recognize him. 19 seasons as a player, 25 managing, .521 W-L percentage. There has to be a seat in the HOF for him
  15. Great battle between Justin and Nick. The kid from Goochland, Va wins in the end. Good outing by Verlander
  16. Not sure what my Saturday plans are yet. And there is an oyster festival nearby...
  17. Pennsylvania has always had the dynamics of Appalachia with the exception of Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. Once you get outside the metropolitan areas it’s solid red
  18. May have to find some ODU tickets
  19. Which is exactly most Republican legislatures prohibit early counting of absentee ballots. To stir controversy and discontent.
  20. Probably true. He's also has lost all support he may have had from Va,MD and DC for help to fund a stadium complex. The current facility is about to fall down around him.
  21. What’s scary here is that voters evidently had no clue about candidates in their district. All one had to do is google your zip code or address to find what district you live in. If the names don’t match there is something fishy going on
