  1. I admit the song has become a bit of a cliche thanks to the Red Sox and Fenway Park, but Neil Diamond leading a chorus of Sweet Caroline does bring a smile. The man was a consummate performer in his prime...and still does a good job.
  2. Scalice is still a Trump apologist, while Cheney is persona non grata in the GOP she wouldn't gather more than a small handful of Democrats.
  3. Miller also spent a few hours in the same courthouse last Tuesday....
  4. Tennessee has fired their GM after 6 years...per BR https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10057843-jon-robinson-fired-as-titans-gm-after-6-plus-seasons-with-franchise
  5. I recently saw some comments from his wife on her podcast. She seemed concerned, especially about his health down the road. One may wonder if she might be trying to persuade him to consider retirement.
  6. Re Avenatti, there is a Netflix doc about the kid that sued Pepsi several years ago over a commercial. One of the secondary characters is a younger Michael Avenatti. (Pepsi, Where's My Jet)
  7. More opportunities for Justin and Kate to show Phillies Fans the Flying Fickle Finger of Fate
  8. It will be a big deal if they can find 10 GOP Senators willing to go along and get it past the House before MyKevin and his gang take over.
  9. Rick Porcello has officially retired per Baseball Trade Rumors. Reportedly he wanted to spend more time with his slider.
  10. Completely unhinged, yet no one in his party's leadership will call him out on this or anything.
  11. This is great….
  12. Spending like drunken rangers
  13. I guess they showed enough to the libs...
  14. For the record Anderson only threw one octopi and it was underhanded.
  15. Sitting in the local DMV attempting to get a copy of my vehicle title. Between COVID and moving the “clean” title fell thru the cracks. Filled out all the paperwork and have an extremely helpful CSR. Yet the computerized process still provides too many hoops for a normal person to handle
  16. That was sort of my thought. I guess it depends who has an arm come spring. Opener???
  17. 1 year $10 mil plus Can he fill in at third?
  18. They've set up a couple busker spots between the shopping/restaurant portion of Colonial Williamsburg and the major tourist area. It's fairly new and "performers" need to be permited. Then there is this one guy who plays trombone....
  19. As a jock I used to hate political season and it's endless spots, especially the week before Election Day. Especially since the stations I worked had policies of no competitors in the same stop set. It was small market in the 70s and 80s, we tried to limit lengths of breaks more or less. 3 spots, weather report, more spots, live psa or promo, etc. You were lucky you could get 4 songs in a half hour...
  20. Corman is another "flawed" detective. The novels are very good
  21. Especially the sales staffs. Holiday sales aren't that profitable and you can't rely on car dealers
  22. Georgia changed the law earlier this year to shorten the time between the general and runoff elections. Basically lawmakers felt that the longer time between elections was too exhausting to the candidates and election officials. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2022-election/georgias-new-voting-law-affects-senate-runoff-rcna57152
  23. Miggy's not the first big star to play past his expiration date and he won't be the last. Willie McCovey, Stargell an a guy called Mays come to mind. I don't know who he may be blocking at the moment, nut the team isn't going anywhere next year anyway. Let him have his farewell tour. And if the stars actually align he may surpass Paul Konerko numbers
