  1. I had to go back and chuck. Until the mid '70s the NFL Champion and a College All Star team played an exhibition game just before the season started. It was a charity affair in Chicago. Why not revive something like that instead of the Pro Bowl or the College Pre Draft game. One of the high draft teams vs a team of prospects.
  2. Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or, with intent to do so takes and carries away any record, proceeding, map, book, paper, document, or other thing, filed or deposited with any clerk or officer of any court of the United States, or in any public office, or with any judicial or public officer of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both. (b) Whoever, having the custody of any such record, proceeding, map, book, document, paper, or other thing, willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; and shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States. As used in this subsection, the term “office” does not include the office held by any person as a retired officer of the Armed Forces of the United States.
  3. Seem approbate considering current discussions.
  4. They will also be ranked #1 in lost luggage and cancelled flights.
  5. Long ago in a country far far away
  6. Good to see he's perfected the geriatric white guy move....
  7. But it's the biggliest and bestes food coloring plant in the world!
  8. Quick correction, the localities are arguing that the executive order is counter to state law requiring them to follow CDC guidance. Also noteworthy is that Youngkin campaigned on giving localities control of the school districts.
  9. The challenge by the school districts is whether or not the governor can override a school district (or local) policy by fiat. If he can order districts to do away with masks, what's to stop him from ordering what or what not to teach, who to hire, etc. I need to research but I think the schools' argument is the order goes against the state constitution.
  10. If Pence and even Mitt and company were serious they should quit the Republican Party in its current state and declare themselves Independents. Especially after today’s grace from Rona and company
  11. I was basing my proposal based on 20 or so years in a card/dice/computer league. In a 12 team league with 4 playoff teams. (APBA) You would find yourself with a couple of owners who would go thru the tank and thrive mode every couple of years while owners who played well enough to finish in the middle of the pack found themselves stuck there forever. I realize MLB is a completely animal from fantasy baseball. If we're experimenting with the current status quo....
  12. I would almost prefer to see a reverse type draft of bottom teams. Reward teams that try to be competitive but fall short. Playoff teams would then draft in the usual fashion.
  13. Not to mention at least two years spent on land reclamation (not sure if that's the correct phrase). There was a lot of fill work going on there. Not to mention whatever toxic chemicals were around from tearing down the neighborhood, the refinery, etc. (My son spent a lot of time on the sight as the company he worked for was charged with overseeing the cleanup. Making sure met federal standards)
  14. Just take a look at the timeline on the Gordie Howe Bridge https://www.gordiehoweinternationalbridge.com/en/project-overview
  15. I think Gorsuch switched to Anglican when he married.
  16. There's a reason why some of us call it Golden Trough https://www.today.com/food/news/golden-corral-fight-rcna14500?utm_campaign=mb&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_source=morning_brew
  17. I still see him as a project. But interesting for the second round if he's still on the board
  18. Virginia's independent commission ended up going to the courts to draw the line after they were deadlocked. I It's a decent map, fairly even split with a couple of swing districts. The whole process just seems a bit swarmy
  19. i've spent the last three weeks watching Mid Atlantic storm systems and following a couple of companies who do forecasting on FB. Their biggest frustrations have been the way the various models have differed even 3 or 4 days out. You really can't get a good read until maybe 48 hours out or less.
  20. I'd favor independent redistricting, but considering the fiascos in Virginia and Michigan when they tried this. There is got to be a way to set it up without getting politicians involved.
  21. I like the idea, especially if it makes the House more proportional. There is no reason a voter in South Dakota, Wyoming, or Alaska have more power than one in larger states.
  22. Politicians want everyone to be able to vote, however they really don't want everyone to vote. The fear is the "uninformed" voter casting a ballot. Hence the quote "I love the uneducated"
