  1. This is the type of persons we should not consider deporting, however they seem to be the ones getting caught in the net, not real criminals.
  2. Maybe a combination of things. How many careers were shortened by the "just play thru it philosophies", especially with pitchers? Also the investment in many of the players may play into it, especially in the terms of having multi year contracts vs one year deals. Not to mention player cost
  3. Being teamed with Curt Gowdy and Joe Garagiola didn't hurt....
  4. June 7 https://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/june-7
  5. June 6 https://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/june-6/d-day Incidentally, if you happen to be traveling in the foothills of Western Virginia between Lynchburg and Roanoke the National D Day Memorial is located in Bedford, Va. https://www.dday.org. Soldiers from Bedford were part of Company A of the 116th Infantry Regiment, 29th Division. 35 Soldiers from that small town were assigned to that Division, 19 died that day, another 4 would lose their lives before the end of the campaign. The greatest proportion of losses of any town in America
  6. Just when you thought the day's news couldn't get any crazier...
  7. Yep, as long as Trump is in office they will always claim life is dushi
  8. Serious question. Assuming this feud is real and not Apprentice style reality theatre, what are the implications. Musk has had access to the keys of the government, supposedly knows where the bodies are buried, all sorts of security access and information. His "minions" are still there on their computers "working on DOGE projects. We've go the workings of a DEFCON 1 government crises led by a guy who has absolutely no clue how a government is supposed to operate. Most of the flunkeys he's put in charge of major departments are just as bad. And the next guy (Vance) in line beliefs are probably even worse, How the heck to we get out of this mess in one piece
  9. I tend to doubt Rodgers will survive to week 16.
  10. i was never a big WWF fan. More into the NWA in the 70s, Saturday afternoon wrestling before This Week in Baseball. Also a bit of Studio Wrestling in the 60s.
  11. That and having to deal with I80/94, not to mention the price of the Skyway and dealing with crazy folks on the Dan Ryan.
  12. Only as long as we get to see the ICE arrest.
  13. i saw some early speculation that the Trump/Musk "Feud" has a bit of a pro wrestling feel. In a lot of way Musk turns "heel" on Trumpers. We'll see the "Turn" in November '26. i'm just not sure the country has an attention span that long Meanwhile, enjoy
  14. I think AMTRAK would save more than a cheap rental.
  15. An EO canceling all Musk's goverment contracts would probably be illegal. Trump's tried worse, let's see what the SC says
  16. Question. Can Trumpers honestly say that the Republican base does not practice what the (dis)Honorable Senator calls idealogical capture? And if it's illegal for a private educational institution (like Harvard) shoulda't it be illegal for another institution (like Liberty, or Hillsdale for example) who also receives federal funding?

  18. Frederick Douglas was right
  19. You rooted for TACO, you own it now. Too chicken to defend his actions???!
  20. It’s your Department to run, you own it
  21. The author of the 2025 Agenda is throwing Trump under the bus. WTF
  22. And all of that began to unravel with the disenchantment with the Viet Nam War and protests, throw in the race riots of the late 60s and a few other incidents. By the early to mid70s most of the blue collar Democrats switched parties. The problem is not many of them came back to the fold and either became staunch Republicans or remain "independents"
