Deff a different invasion approach to modern armies. Look at Iraq/Afghan, we ran with "Shock and Awe" stikes for a long time before ground troops were deployed. Russia is taking the WWII warfare approch leaving their ass wide open with these columns of armor and no air support. If the U.S. were allowed in from the begining no way they would advance in this manner. Putin of course knows this so I think he was just arrogant and thought Ukraine would roll over. They can't be reporting back sunshine in roses. The misinformation machine has to running in overtime to keep Russians feeling this is moral and right.

Day 400 and something of no mask mandate. No one wearing a mask, my wife's ICU has zero covid beds (Since last Saturday).

Yeah it was sad, just like today if you come from a wealthy family or even upper middle class you won't get drafted. We talk about segregation of skin color but we also have generations of americans who have not served in the military (Post WWII). They enjoy their freedoms but don't have much action to show for it.....

Are they die hard Trumpers never were. Are they Democrat leaning, no.

You would be surprised how many African American ground forces who are republicans.

That means the men and women that most on here despise are our only line of defense. Not saying people are wrong to have those views of them but it’s just ironic to think about.

You do realize that 90% of the U.S. ground forces (Army/Marines) are Red Hat Republicans.

It's 100% your right to choose that. It seems bizzare to me where my state, as we never closed or had many restrictions (50% cap at restaurants was about it). Illinois right next door requires vax proof, etc.. This time period in the U.S has to be the most state by state laws/restriction difference than any time in our history. Wether its COVID restrictions are Marajuana laws, etc. fascinating stuff.

Similar at our house. Our washer is right off the garage. Strip in the garage, start the wash then run to the shower. She just recently stopped doing this. She does however still wear a mask in crowded places. Not because she is worried about getting sick but more to prevent getting sick so she did not let down her co-nurses as they became alot closer through all this.

Curious, did Michigan/ Illinois lift mask restrictions at schools yet?

To be fair no one knew shit early on, we were all scared. No lie we washed our delivered groceries as well. Then, as time went on it seemed over the top. Myself and most everyone I know worked exposed, face to face through the whole pandemic. Working from home was not an option. to me it seemed the people who were able to stay home and peer out their window were the biggest advocates for restrictions. So as us knuckle draggers were exposed on the daily we became very cynical to overdoses of restrictions.

I was not trying to downplay that part, you are right. My wife's ICU has one COVID patient. Two months ago they were full of COVID patients. No mask mandates here since last summer and COVID is still dwindling weekly.

Unless a new more dangerous strain pops up it does seem the COVID hysteria is over. Thank God!
