  1. At the very least... Springer seems to have Montero's number... So, yeah, something... walk will do.
  2. Right.. But I didn't suggest that. I suggested he get a start or two in September after the AA season ends...
  3. Well I'm already insane... But that's besides the point. 😉
  4. I don't think a guy who is dominating at AA, and gets a start or two at the end of the season to see how he fares against MLB hitters should be called "Forcing him up the ladder". That's not forcing him at all. He's ready for MLB, or almost ready, or nearly ready... A couple starts at the very end of the season isn't "forcing" IMO, it's "exposure to a higher level" and exposure does not = forcing.
  5. Holy CRAP... For a first OUT of the game... Damn... that was one of the most beautiful first OUTS of the game I've ever seen from the Tigers. First pitch, ball is skied but RF'er at the fence snags it. And then Keith does nearly the same to CF. Hmmm... what's going on here?
  6. Gaslighting: "manipulating someone into questioning their reality, memories, or sanity" Freak, you are LITERALLY trying to CREATE something that DOES NOT EXIST: "should have got it in WRITING" in order to try to deceive us into thinking Harris is at fault. No player, EVER, has signed anything in writing agreeing to be part of a trade. Go ahead and find an example for us... We're all waiting. Waiting... waiting... waiting... Oh yeah, it DOES NOT EXIST. You are the LITERAL definition of gaslighting. Try again.
  7. In other words: You're making up some BS excuse to blame Harris because that's your narrative. Everyone knows E-Rod flaked out at the last minute and that fault is 100% his. You're... Gaslighting.
  8. And now a double for Clark after McGonigle's 3-run homer... So: McGonigle is currently at .325 BA/ .873 OPS and Clark is currently at .284 BA and .804 OPS.... When were they planning to challenge these two with a move to High-A?
  9. And McGonigle his 4th (2 men on). Lakeland 4-0 over Dunedin.
  10. Clark just his 7th HR of the season. Solo. (Actually that was last inning...)
  11. GASLIGHTING. Yeah, that's exactly what you're doing here.
  12. I believe that we are not close enough to the playoffs this year to "needs SP". I think even if we have to bandaid, bullpen day, or give a bunch of untested AAA kids some spot starts to see how they fare in MLB... that's what will happen this year. I'm of the opinion that Harris doesn't think he "needs SP".
  13. I think also Madris is more of a contact guy and Baddoo is more of a speed and power guy?
  14. Lael Lockhart. I wanna see this kid against MLB hitters...
  15. Well... The flipside is that sometimes you have to spend money/ time/ effort on college players trying to "UN-learn" them from any bad habits that they may have learned there. Or, they may be completely unwilling to change bad habits from college where they actually were successful with them there (IE: Tork and his swing...). Thus, some teams prefer prep kids (even though they cost more to sign than college seniors who have run out of time/ negotiating power...) because they can teach them from the ground up, with (hopefully) successful developmental habits.
  16. IMO... If they can squeeze in 1 or 2 MLB starts at the end of September for Jobe... I think they should do it. Give him the exposure. But that's just me...
  17. I would just guess... That a GM and his drafting/ developmental team would... bet on themselves. They would take the draft picks. You might not like the unknown and prefer known data points... But I'm guessing MOST GM's would want to take swings themselves in the draft, rather then known, but also flawed, players. Unless they are certain they could fix the flawed players with no problems whatsoever. But to me that would be a hard sell. Someone who has no control or cannot hit off-speed usually ends up as being someone who has... no control. Or can't hit the curveball. So to speak.
  18. Right. I think Spring Training 2025 is when we see what he looks like...
  19. Lockhart's been "On FAHR" his past couple of starts (oh wait, how'd he do last night? I meant before last night...); But I'd like to see another Lefty get a chance... I want him up in MLB to see if (A) he can "hack it, and (B) if he can replace Wentz at some point. (Meaning he gets shifted to the bullpen if he gets replaced in the rotation by a healthy Olson or otherwise...).
  20. I was almost going to say that but I wonder if after his recent injury they'll want to "kid glove" him for awhile before even considering that. Also, do they need a 40 man move for Jobe? I was going to start thinking about Jobe in September (A) If he was ready, or not. And (B) with the limitations that they've placed on September callups if it's a move they'd even consider. I'm going to say no on both accounts and just WAG that they're really not thinking about an MLB tryout for him until next Spring Training at the earliest... Just a guess...
  21. Actually... Jung was drafted as a 2B'man and played there until Keith's shoulder burnt out... I think "technically" he could still be labelled as a 2B-3B guy as I don't think that will be settled just yet. Plus, he's played 17 games at Toledo at 2B this year...
  22. Lockhart, Madden and/or Sammons!!! NEXT MAN UP!!!
