My point about the draft picks. That was a damn good haul because he had a lot of bullets.
Meanwhile in the Matt Millen era it was the scene in Predator where Bill Duke shoots up the jungle with the mini-gun.
The evidence is that Brad Holmes knows the trade game (Stafford for Goff and a billion picks). Perhaps he can also get trade deadline talent with impact.
The injury rate in pro-football makes all these guys commodities with the exception of QBs.
This is really a great example of how much pain being a Lions fan causes. We are nothing but fodder for other team's highlight videos except for a few glorious hours in the 1990s and maybe now.
Your wife is likely not a US Government senior executive who worships at the altar of fiscal propriety. A little graft doesn't bother me but...indeed, it makes the World go round but...the wife would be most upset.
I'm thinking I made the right choice not to get the Youtube.tv sunday ticket. I can follow the game just fine on radio and then watch extensive highlights almost right after. This is the right place to be if the Lions are thriving. If the Lions were mediocre...still the right play. NFL Sunday Ticket is ridiculously expensive.
My non-amateur (but not guided by any actual official dispatches) analysis:
Why now: This attack came at a time when Saudi and other gulf state oligarchs were doing a top-down effort to create peace in the ME. The US in political chaos over Tuberville and the lack of a Congressional leader creates the impression that US support for any of our allies is waivering. The best way to disrupt that if you are Iran is to drive an attack on Israel. Russia also certainly benefits from chaos in the Levant. The Leninist model of chaos-as-a-ladder.
Possible Impact:
Possible US conflict with Iran on the horizon. That is probably good for the Iranian regime (from their viewpoint).
US MAGAs can further drive the "bunch a warmongers" storyline against the normies. Which provides relief for Russia in Ukraine.
US could rally politically if normies in the House select a responsible Speaker as a stop gap during this time of chaos. If Mitch punishes Tuberville..all to the good.
on my Paxlovid day I sat on my deck staring into space. i looked at a nail stuck between two deck boards for the entire day thinking “i need to remove that”. Then the next day i actually had the gumption to pick it up.
