  1. I gather that a lot of great hitters were tough to coach and had a hard time passing those hitting skills along. But that does not mean eschewing data-driven approaches are acceptable in a situation where you are trying to apply it to an organization.
  2. Example to make a ridiculous comparison for no other purpose but my own amusement. "Dear Mr and Mrs so-and so, Your son died while attempting a parachute jump out of a C-130 yesterday afternoon. He didn't figure he needed to inspect his parachute because that's not what he's about. He said he learns and applies skills differently and is more of a kinesiological learner so dogmatic approaches to parachute inspection are difficult for him to apply. Sincerely, Your son's boss"
  3. the relative power of the Oligarchs will increase when there are fewer people to rule over.
  4. if he didn't correct the quote. He's poorly advised by his representatives.
  5. You have to have the majority to try the case.
  6. I dunno.. Maybe they offered 6/171 and prayed he didn't bite. Or maybe they thought that would carry the day. Whatever, he's dead to me.
  7. Who do we want for our Defense off that team? They have some great talent to choose from. Open up the checkbooks and let them know a non-toxic, professional work environment beckons up North.
  8. I have to say that if I see a editorial take from Carlos Monarrez I usually assume its lazy. https://www.freep.com/story/sports/columnists/carlos-monarrez/2025/02/14/alex-bregman-tigers-news-scott-harris-aj-hinch/78537729007/
  9. The Sassoon/Adams affair is the most obvious impeachable news story.

  15. now Detroit gets another villain.
  16. what would have a better impact? A long term contract for Skubal or Fetter?
  17. I'm both willing to allow Tork to show amazing Spring effort and results and ready to move on from him in exchange for something tangible. My mental template (confirmed from the interview from yesterday) is that he's stubborn and anti-process. If he were Rube Waddel i.e., could be amazing whilst being viewed by all as "eccentric", then maybe we could make an allowance for him to be anti-process. If I were he, I'd do an interview today in which i suddenly am 1000% behind hard work and a data-driven approach to success.
  18. Jace Jung...think I might change my avatar to match that. Thinking of this.
