I manage my mentally-impaird brother in Livonia's social security for him. I got a letter this week from the SSA saying they were considering cutting him but decided not to (implied, yet). I'm like...oh, what a relief that the government agency that could put my brother into the street decided not to. Of course my brother being on social security and medicare is what allows him to live an independent life (with an appointed care-giver managed by the State of Michigan). What Elon and company tech oligarchs want is for him to be managed in an institution at lowest costs, perhaps doing some labor for their company's benefit.
