Lachey is a pro. I heard he was planning to miss the game so he could attend his son's Seniors Day game at Iowa the day before, but Ryan Day chartered a plane to get to Columbus on time. That final sequence was so lame. 1st down at the 25 with 45 seconds and you don't throw downfield once, keep repeating a play that isn't working: 1st down - incomplete pass out of bounds at the right sideline to the 27; 2nd down - complete pass to the right sideline for a gain of 1 yard to the 26; 3rd down - incomplete pass sails way out of bounds around the 40 at the right sideline; 4th - incomplete short pass to around the 28, only receiver anywhere close, standing around the 26, would have been quickly tackled if the pass had hit him.

This is the worst I've felt about the Lions' chances at the #1 seed for awhile. Eagles play 4 of their final 5 games at home, with two of them (vs. Panthers, vs Giants) virtual gimmes. Will be heavily favoured hosting Dallas too. I guess at Pittsburgh and to a lesser extent at Washington poses some risk to them. But the Eagles definitely have a shot at winning out. It's a lot to ask the Lions to win out. If the Lions go 4-1 as long as that loss is to Buffalo, the Lions no matter what would finish ahead of Philadelphia. The Lions will clinch the division if they go 3-2 as long as two of those wins are over GB and Minnesota. At this point, with 5 games to go, I'd say the most likely spot they'll finish is #2, but #1, #5 and #6 are all possible.

6-6 teams like Arizona tend to find ways to beat themselves. The way they were moving the ball, 3 runs from 1st and goal at the 6 should have made it a 2-score game. Or 4 runs from 1st and goal at the 11. They panicked over a 5 yard penalty.

Vikings at the 5. It’s probably going to come down to Kyler Murray having to lead a FG drive.

That was Arizona defense’s chance there. Minnesota converts a 4th and 7 and now are at the Cards’ 21 at the 2 minute warning.

Arizona ran a nice 8 minute drive but a false start at 1st and goal from the 6 changed everything. They ended up settling for a FG and are only up 6 with 3:20 to go. Sets up perfectly for the dastardly Vikings to steal an undeserved win with a final drive.
