    Larkin opens the scoring and then the Wings kill off a penalty immediately afterwards.

    Scoreless against Edmonton after 1. Wings limited the Oilers to 3 shots on goal. Not a lot of offense for the Wings but did have a few odd man breaks.

    I wonder if things would have played out differently for the Tigers if Beltran had cleared the bases.

    My daughter was in chamber choir throughout high school at her all-girls' school. 7am practices 4 days per week were hard for teens that time of day, but meant that teachers and students coming to school were greeted by the sounds of angels.

    I generally like him. But these playoffs he has been animated on every little single by a Jays hitter or strikeout by a Jays pitcher. Buck Martinez on the other hand, he must have the worst voice in baseball broadcasting.

    The fly ball looked deep to me right off the bat so I didn't understand why the announcer was calling it in a flat monotone as it got closer to the wall. Then I remember I was watching the Jays feed. Quite the contrast.

    Picking up Suarez at the trade deadline may have been worth it for Seattle just for the grand slam he just hit. 6-2 Mariners in the 8th.

    Finally a tight game in the Jays-Mariners series. Bryan Woo comes in for the 6th inning but has just given up a leadoff double.

    Wings lead 1-0 after 1 in yet another game against an Atlantic division opponent. Speaking of which, Montreal doing some fun stuff in the early days of the season. Would be nice if for a change of pace the Wings and Habs could move up in the standings. Sick of Florida-Tampa-Toronto-Boston.

    I thought nothing of the Appleton acquisition until I was chatting with a couple of Jets fans this summer (yes, there are several in Vancouver) who said that this was a good pickup. Not for the goal-scoring which has occurred so far, but yes as an upgrade to the 4th line.

    Jays are smashing Mariners dreams. 6-2. Jays fans in attendance are louder and more numerous than I expected.

    Mariners are on the verge of letting another game get out of hand against them. Castillo has already been pulled and it’s only the 3rd. 3-1 Jays, bases loaded.
