  1. Sloth and Buddha and 1984 could hit their points predictions exactly AND be right about just the playoffs, with a Wings OT loss tomorrow. I won’t get my 92 point prediction bang on but could still be right about 9th place.
  2. The opponent for whoever gets the 2nd wildcard will be the Rangers, who clinched both the President’s Trophy and #1 seed in the East tonight.
  3. NYI has clinched 3rd in the Metro. So only one spot up for grabs, the 2nd wildcard. Detroit has to beat Washington’s result by at least a point tomorrow. Ideally by winning. Because if the Wings lose in overtime and the Caps lose in regulation to Philly, the Wings will finish ahead of Philly and Washington but Pittsburgh would be able to beat out the Wings by defeating NYI Wednesday. If the Wings win tomorrow, Pittsburgh can’t catch them. The tiebreakers are what they are. But too bad that the Wings lead Washington in RegulationOvertimeWins, Total Wins and goal differential but wll lose the tiebreaker due to fewer RegulationWins.
  4. Here you go. Raymond’s Winner.m4a
  5. I love seeing that line on HFBoards because invariably a European or under-40 year old who doesn’t get the reference will go off on a rant about how stupid is the poster.
  6. Yes, not ideal. I thought tonight was a great chance for the Caps to drop a point. Good news though the game is in Philadelphia and I think the Flyers might still be mathematically alive (if the Flyers win in regulation those teo teams will be tied in points, RWs and ROWs. Don’t know to be honest. Edit: Sounds like Flyers are still alive, if this accurate. Good! Want them to be motivated.
  7. Ken Kal’s call of the tying goal. Wings Tie Habs Late.m4a
  8. Ken Kal’s call of fhe winning goal. Raymond Beats Habs It In OT!.m4a
  9. Wings finally playing with urgency but only 6 minutes to go and still down a goal.
  10. Lyon made some big saves early in the 2nd, and the Wings are making turnovers especially on the 4th goal. But 4 goals on 13 shots doesn't cut it.
  11. Trail 4-2. 20 minutes to save their season.
  12. Terrible turnover by Edvinsson. Wings were pressing. 4-1.
  13. Habs have been all over the Wings this period. Lyon held the fort awhile. 3-1.
  14. Isles, Caps and Pens all taking care of business so far, all leading at the 1st intermission. Wings? Not exactly. Trail 2-1. 40 minutes to save their season.
  15. 2-1. Tonight could be a rollercoaster of emotions
  16. Geesh. Biggest game in years and come out limping. 3 Habs shots, 2 Habs goals. 2-0.
  17. The four big games tonight, all starting at 7pm - Montreal at Red Wings. Wings will be eliminated if they lose in regulation. With a win, would be safe from being caught by Pittsburgh if the Pens lose in regulation tonight. Even with a win, no way for the Wings to be safe from being caught by Washington or Philadelphia prior to Game 82 - Boston at Washington. If the Caps lose in OT, the Wings will control their destiny by winning their final 2 games. - NYI at NJ. The Wings need to gain at least a point on the Islanders tonight or else it will be impossible for the Wings to catch NYI. To catch NYI, the Wings would need to gain 3 points on the Islanders over the final 2 games; Wings win the tiebreaker in that case. - Nashville at Pittsburgh. If the Wings win and Pittsburgh loses in regulation, the Wings will be safe from being caught by Pittsburgh. If the Wings win AND Caps lose in regulation AND Pens lose in any way tonight, the Wings will control their destiny by picking up 3 points in their final 2 games.
  18. Utah Soakers. Fans can bounce up and down in the stands.
  19. Would have to think that they go to Reimer tomorrow for the second game of the back to back
  20. I don't think you'll get anything for a 23-year old with 79 career NHL games, whose NHL games played actually plunged this year from 67 to 12. He'll be seen as a dime a dozen.
