You do have to wonder about some of these calls - how legit this whole thing it is. Purdue got jobbed a few times last night, but there were some strange calls that went against Blue too. But that Florida call..........Wow. And the MSU picked-up flag. Sound familiar Lions fans? Something VERY fishy going on there. I know a player's jersey can flap in the wind, but not 3 feet into the hand of a defender. But maybe Jonathan Smith paid off the refs so he'd get fired and could take the UCLA job.

Everybody seems to be feeling that this one is going to be an easy blowout. I'm not sure. I mean, it should be, but the script writers find a way to keep these one interesting.

There is a player or even two out there that the Lions could acquire with 4th/5th/6th round picks that they frankly don't even need. It's like that Charlie Parker song "Now's the Time". I agree on holding on to 1st and 2nds - they're going to need a starting tackle. I have no doubt about that. Decker's at the end. Plus, since they seem to be signing everyone, they are going to need some cheap contributors. The Governor of Louisiana spending any time or energy firing or picking football coaches kind of makes you understand one of the reasons that Louisiana is considered the worst or usually bottom 4 states to live in. Every passing year I pay less attention to college sports - because it's just so disgusting. You've got people that starting Saturday aren't going to know where or how they're getting food, and states are spending money to pay off fired football coaches for not reaching unrealistic expectations. As far as this idea that the buyout won't come from state money - do you really believe that? I sure don't. I don't care about Brian Kelly, he's a piece of **** of a human, but he gets millions and someone will give him more and he'll keep being a piece of ****. The thought of Declan Sullivan's parents apologizing to Notre Dame is just so twisted.

Asking if anyone knows. During the upcoming 2027 lockout (I think we'll lose the whole season). What happens with every player on the 40-man roster? Are any of them allowed to play in the minors? I'm asking because if McGonigle or Max Clark have great years in 2026 at Toledo and it seems as if they can be called up, would it make sense to call them up only to cost them an entire season of development in 2027? I think the best-case scenario for 2027 is starting AFTER the 4th of July. This one is going to be nasty.
