  1. Vierling is a pretty good player. Power. Speed. Can play all 3 OF positions and even a little 3rd & 1st. He's a keeper.
  2. In Colorado No............Lead...........Is............Safe I want at least 6 more runs
  3. I have the perfect solution. Maybe LGBTQ a religion. Just come up with something. Scientology did it, so why not?
  4. They'll probably be walking from the hotel when an anvil lands on them.
  5. And I don't like ANY religion. I think they are all organized grifts.
  6. It's interesting that, for the most part, the countries with the happiest population are also the least publicly religious. They have religion in Denmark. They just keep it to themselves.
  7. yeah. First of all - a postal carrier on Sunday? Um, they don't really deliver on Sunday, do they? Oh, yeah, they deliver packages, but I am sure they can get someone to work it since they get time and a half I believe. Maybe they work Newbies on Sunday. Well, guess what, if you want to move up, then you'll have to pay some dues and work some crappy shifts. I think most of us did at various jobs. I sure as hell did. You know those canopies that are used at outdoor fairs, the metal ones that are collapsible with with the adjustable holes and pegs? I am the Program Director now and I don't have to touch them. I don't have to get my hands and fingers pinched in those goddamned things. I paid those dues - I paid 'em a lot. And SCOTUS just opened the door to anyone refusing to do a job or part of a job based on religion. All you'll have to do is find some religion that forbids certain behaviors - or just make up your own. This is a bunch of B.S. I don't know, folks, have you had to work when you had other things going on? For me, it would be in the hundreds. All right kid, you wanna be in radio, you gotta deal with this the next few years. "But my religion forbids me from having to touch tent poles of any kind." Disenchanter (July 14) from Park County
  8. Only us old guys know what the Coke reference even means, but it's a good one
  9. Who do they have left over there. Scott Van Pelt and who else?
  10. Hey Seattle........you want a basketball team again? This one is broken, but you can have it. The Pistons are never going to be relevant again.
  11. The Dallas Mavericks are idiots. Really? You want that cancer for 3 more years. have at it.
  12. Under The Radar this weekend for the 4th of July will have the All American Road Trip. We'll go in alphabetical order this year starting with an artist from Alabama and ending with one from Wisconsin (nobody from Wyoming I wanted to play). Since it's a two-hour shows, some states will have to be skipped (sorry Dakotas)
  13. I was thinking about the poor or working class white kids that get the shaft because of AA. It sucks. It truly does. But does it suck as much as slavery? Does it suck as much as Jim Crow laws that were in effect in my lifetime? If they want to blame someone, maybe ask some of their grandparents why they let this happen as long as they did. I don't know, I think we owe a hell of a lot more than an easier path to college. Historically in this country what White people have done to Black people is a crime against humanity itself. AA is the least we can do. And really the actual least.
  14. Geez, who is our All-Star? Probably Lange, right? My choice would be Jason Foley. Slim Pickins
  15. Soon as I posted it - 2 hits. The jinx is real.
  16. Hey, Bernie voters who wouldn't vote for Hillary. This is all on you. Clarence Thomas' idol
  17. I have thought that Affirmative Action shouldn't be based solely on race. There are poor kids who can't get into schools without scholarships that deserve a shot regardless of race, but overall it's still going to favor diversity Only stupid schools (and there are plenty) are going to stop trying to have a diverse student body. Schools like Michigan, and Michigan State are going to continue their AA policies. But there are some schools that will do everything they can to try to keep minorities out. Maybe some minorities that play sports should pay attention to that. Maybe let some of those schools know they won't consider playing for them if they aren't diverse. In some ways AA is kind of reverse racism because sure, there are some white kids that won't get into to make room for diversity, but I also think we have to make up for the awful **** we've done to minorities in our past and that's a small price to pay. College is going to be changing drastically over the next decade anyway. There is going to be a much larger percentage of the student body learning remotely which means there will be more room for more students and there won't be the same housing limits now. As someone else has pointed out, colleges need money and they're going to relax their standards anyway. Without physical constraint with the increasing presence of virtual learning, they'll take more students than ever. They are going to have to, so this may not be much of a hindrance. I just hate that we keep going backwards, though. I think James Meredith is one of the bravest Americans who ever lived. This is kind of spitting in his eye, something that Mr. Alito and Mr. Thomas would probably have no problem with not even being a metaphor.
  18. Not saying he is ready. Just saying he's Carpe Diem
  19. They don't have anyone that can replace Wentz, do they? I mean, there's Skubal, but will he return before the All Star Break?
  20. So, Colt Keith hit a HR in his first AAA AB ? Maton tearing it up at .667 BA
  21. not for a team that once had Ray Oyler in the lineup. You know when they say "O-for-September" as a joke? Well, it was literal for him. (I think he may have gone 0-for-August too).
