  1. I swear we have a force field around metro Detroit. We'll see storms in Hillsdale, Jackson, Calhoun, Lenawee, Washtenaw, but as soon as they approach Wayne, Oakland and Macomb they will fizzle out. Been like that the last 3 or 4 years.
  2. Wow. Juan seems so old, but then again, next year will be the 40th anniversary. I HATE AGING ! I MOURN MY YOUTH! Did they move up the time because of the weather? Are you afraid of storms? As a kid I was horribly afraid of storms and then my dad bought me a big book about thunderstorms and told me to read all about them so I wouldn't be so scared. He was right. I am fascinated by them now. I even went storm chasing twice (riding in the back seat as a couple of experienced and respected chasers did their thing). We got hit with a little bit of hail, but could never catch up to the storm as it swept through northern Indiana and Ohio. We were always about 10 miles behind it. If there was a diagonal freeway that went to the South East we could have caught it. The other time it looked super creepy but nothing much happened except heavy rain and wind. That was September 11, 2019 when a tornado touched down near Grand Rapids. We were expecting stuff in the Lansing area but it was over and done by then.
  3. How come everytime they win there is a big power surge & outage at Comerica Park.............I guess the atmosphere is that electric.
  4. Checking out that Angels box score. Anthony Rendon is injured? NO FREAKING WAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Is the answer Jesus? (sorry, Slap Shot was just on).
  6. My friend pulled off the 9/9/9 challenge, but it was 3 beers and 6 sodas. He was sick for about 3 days after.
  7. Why in the world is this half an inning takin so long?
  8. AJ regarding Kerry Carpenter "He has some real pop..............He........He has some pop". Brilliant observation.
  9. I just yelled at that strikeout..........scared the hell out of my dog
  10. Just turned the game on and for me the audio is way behind the video. Is this happening to you?
  11. Lets start a Conspiracy Theory and see how far it goes. The five men in the sub were going to find the hidden Trump 2020 votes, which were stashed in the Titanic wreckage and they were about to find them, so George Soros had the sub blown up. I couldn't be that they went into the deep in a vessel that wasn't completely tested and it failed under incredible pressure. It had to be something else, right?
  12. I don't think it was a concern about a guy self-incriminating, I think it might have been "I'm about to waste you, so you better shut up". I think you'd have to be a robot to not want to do something to him. His neighbor said he was a very angry guy and always screaming at his wife and kids, but this was not a crime of passion, he planned it. I don't know - he's a loser, he's angry, what conspiracy did he believe. Did he think his kids had serpent DNA or some stupid crap like that?"
  13. Seriously, I bet several of those cops wanted to end that guy right then and there. I think it showed a great deal of restraint to not beat the crap out of him. Maybe they were too in shock. I doubt any of them has had a good night's sleep since then.
  14. I think it might have been a cop telling him - in legal terms - to shut the **** up. I watch a lot of court and Judges will often remind defendants that they have the right to remain silent and you'd be shocked at how many defendants just keep talking.
  15. Just reading about Chad Doerman - an Ohio man who shot and killed his 3 sons with a rifle. First thought for me is - which Q conspiracy led him to this? Prison sucks, but it's gonna suck a whole lot more when they find out he killed his own kids.
  16. and LSU is vacating three years of wins because some kid's dad got $180 K. Please. NCAA is such a joke.
  17. We had one of those in Detroit. She wound up going to jail
  18. Looks like its straight out of the movie The Abyss.
  19. I don't know.........maybe it's just me, but maybe now that we know where it is, it's time to leave the Titanic wreckage alone. This is a sign.
  20. When I have had job interviews, I always drive the route the day before and then I plan to arrive 30 minutes early (planning for traffic situations that I can not control) and then if I arrive at the building 30 minutes early, I sit in my car and wait - walk in 10 minutes before the interview time. Always 10 minutes. 10 minutes does a few things. It shows that you are READY for the interview at it's start time, not fumbling around with things at the start time. It also shows the interviewer some respect and it gives you a chance to observe people walking around the office. Does everyone look miserable or content? Do people interact well with each other? Does anyone seem rushed? When I did my first interview for the radio station in Ann Arbor back in 2004, when I was in the lobby waiting, one staffer walked by and said "are you sure you want this?", walked into the PDs office, talked to him a little bit and walked out laughing and as soon as he looked at me he stopped laughing, got this dour look on this face and as he walked by me, shook his head and said "you poor bastard"......I knew I would fit in well there.
