  1. I haven't watch the Tigers since around the 4th of July. I just got to the point where I couldn't take the garbage anymore. All they did was make me mad with their lineup full of utility guys. I have not seen Kerry Carpenter or Ryan Kreidler play. I can look up their stats, but how have their at bats looked? Do they look overmatched? How have they looked defensively? Is there any chance either one could be starters next year?
  2. Is this a Curb Your Enthusiasm spin off ?
  3. The Walled Lake man who killed his wife & dog, shot his daughter (she may never walk again) and then was killed by the cops was, according to his other daughter (who did not live at home) a Trump supporter who lost his shit when Trump lost in 2020 believe a bunch of Q-Anon conspiracy theories, most notably Trump is leading a war on pedophiles (anyone who disagrees with Trump, basically).
  4. Nathaniel Hackett & Russell Wilson totally mismanaged the end of that game Monday. Burned 30 seconds only to call a time out and attempt at 63 yard field goal? Was Scott Frost calling in?
  5. 7 minutes of Mike taking apart his car looking for a transmitter, no dialogue.........brilliant work, brilliant editing.....Jonathan Banks literally taking the car apart by himself (he really did)............but no dramatic speech, I understand that, but the acting is brilliant in this, especially Odenkirk. Mr. Show prepared him well to play a multi-dimensional, multi-personality part. Maybe AMC didn't bribe enough.
  6. Yes, this Emmy awards was before much of Season 6 aired. Bob Odenkirk and Rhea Seehorn will get nominations again, as will the series. The Emmys have never much liked this series. How Michael McKean didn't even get a nomination for Chicanery is just a crime. Brilliant acting in that episode. One of the most underappreciated actors ever.
  7. I fully expect Cade to hit the transfer portal in the next 48 hours i
  8. Couple of points on Scott Frost. When he was hired Harbaugh was struggling to get to Indy and it looked like it was just never going to happen. I thought with Frost being in the West that he was going to come in and do what Harbaugh did and get his team to Indy (to be destroyed by the East team). I thought we'd be watching something that we can't have like watching Pujols get celebrated and have this surge of home runs while Miggy can hardly walk anymore and goes out with a whimper. The opposite happened. Look at Frost's history with onside kicks ....... then you'll see why the Northwestern game was a fireable offense. If Mickey Joseph comes in with 9 games left and wins 6 of them, do they keep him? I mean, anyone in the West is beatable. I know the names thrown around are Mark Stoops from Kentucky and Matt Campbell from Iowa State and the coach from Kansas..............I don't know that Nebraska is an upgrade at this point. If Matt Rhule is not at .500 or better by week 6 or 8 in Carolina, he's going to be fired. That might be the guy for Nebraska. I'm enjoying this. The two reasons they got a share of the 1997 title were Tom Osbourne's retirement sentiment and they had an illegal TD in a close game where one of their guys kicked the ball up in the air on a touchdown. It should not have counted and they would have lost that game. So screw Nebraska.
  9. Patriots horrible offense is a national story...................this is the best Monday ever !!!!!!!!
  10. I like Dark Brandon. More Dark Brandon.
  11. That was a pretty tough QB to pursue today, so it was a good way to learn.
  12. Thank you for posting this. You get me.
  13. One game, they can adjust and Campbell has shown that he will do that, the opposite of the guy I hate with the intensity of a million white-hot suns.
  14. I was watching the game on a phone (You Tube TV) with one earpiece during a family gathering, so I was not able to laser focus on much. How did Hutch look?
  15. I don't know if you guys know this, but I really hate Matt Patricia. I mean I REALLY HATE him.
  16. You know what makes today's loss tolerable? Two things - 1 - The Eagles are a better team than the Lions and it's not that close. 2 - Matt Patricia and his offense absolutely sucked today and the Patriots got their arse kicked. Every week he loses and looks bad, is a win to me. (Funny, no Brady and no more cheating and Bill is not such a great coach anymore..........well, less cheating, anyway). Kind of looked like last year's opener of falling way behind and making it close in the end. Hopefully the follow up is better. And I think today we saw that maybe Jeff Okudah wasn't the reason Jeff Okudah sucked in his rookie season and maybe, just maybe it was the aforementioned asshole that coached his rookie seasons.
  17. By the way.........Hawaii covered !
  18. Wonder how much he paid each losing QB so he could win 34 K. I mean, if he pays them each 5K then he is still up 19K
  19. Iowa looks putrid. 14 total points vs. Iowa State (down year) and ND State. Last week was the only time in my 57+ years that I saw a team score 7 without scoring a TD. Purdue is Purdue and their coach absolutely blew the Penn State game. if their coach hadn't brain-farted, they might be the favorite in the B1G West. Northwestern is bad this year, can thank Scott Frost for their one win. Illinois is absolutely better and I really am interested to see them take on a team from their own division, they could be the sleeper to get destroyed in Indy. Nebraska............well to quote Little Bill Daggett in Unforgiven, "Hell, even I though I was dead, til I found out I was just in Nebraska" Minnesota........it's seemingly theirs for the taking but they always find a way to blow it and to quote the great 21st Century philosopher Casimir "Can't wait to see how" Wisconsin. - An embarrassing loss to Washington State at home, but you know what? That loss really doesn't matter. Wisconsin really had zero expectation of going to the playoff this year and this will not hurt them in the B1G West standings. I think they will be the 3-loss team from the West to go to Indy and get destroyed. My B1G Power Rankings today 1 - Minnesota 2 - Illinois 3 - Purdue 4 - Wisconsin 5 - Iowa (defense is good) 6 - Northwestern 7 - Nebraska How I think they finish 1 - Wisconsin 2 - Minnesota 3 - Illinois 4 - Iowa 5 - Purdue 6 - Northwestern 7 - Nebraska
  20. I expect the Lions to start this game hot today. I think the offense will be sharp and I do expect them to move the ball. Goff will use all his receivers and I wouldn't be surprise if as many as 8 players have receptions in the game, but I also think that while the defense absolutely looks better and will feed off the energy of the crowd, they will tire out with the lack of depth. I think Philly wins 31-23 Goff will look sharp - like the 2nd half of last seasons Hutch will get one sack today, but won't be overly affective (he's a rookie) The linebackers will get burned by Tight Ends and Running Back catching passes out of the backfield all day (it should be the focus of the next offseason) I am very interested to see how Jeff Okudah looks. He was over-drafted, no doubt, and had a morbid rookie season, but I am thinking that had more to do with Patricia than Okudah. He has a lot to prove and I am sure Philly will test him plenty today. Don't give up on him. If he'd been drafted where he should (10-15) we'd feel more optimistic about him.
  21. Yesterday really was Upset Saturday. BYU knocked off Baylor, but since it was in Utah, is it really an upset?
  22. Every time they showed Scott Frost I thought of Todd from Breaking Bad. Another reason to dislike him.
  23. They might be. This is Minnesota's year............how are they going to screw it up this time?
  24. Davis Warren comes in and plays better than Cade?
