  1. RFK stadium has been vacant for what, a decade, and it would be better than their current pile of junk they have. There are many slimeball owners in the NFL and he's the slimiest.
  2. How the fuck is Daniel Snyder still allowed to own an NFL team? Force him out like the NBA forced out Sterling. Scandal after Scandal after Scandal, and a stadium that is literally falling apart (it's only 25 years old). Come on, man, get this bastard out. Hell, he'll make a fortune, as even the worst NFL team is worth a billion. He could sell it for 2 billion (more than double what he paid). Come on, get him out. Long overdue. He makes Irsay look like a Boy Scout. This sums up what has happened to Washington football fans in the Snyder era.
  3. Foot fracture can actually be minor, and better than a sprain or tendon injury. I fractured the side of my foot when I hit it on a furniture leg. It was barely noticeable on the x-ray and even though it hurt for a few days, I was walking fine within a week. Now, I am obviously not an athlete and I don't have to rely on running, but I was able to recover fairly quickly and didn't have to wear a boot, I just wore a special type of sandal that extended out beyond the side of my foot I wouldn't hit it again. So maybe he's back by Mid-May. Then they have him rehab in the minors and we see him in June.
  4. Well, at least we'll get an extra year of service time.
  5. The silence is concerning. And strange.
  6. He ran out a triple, stayed in the game for 10 more minutes. The walking boot is a precaution.
  7. Seriously, I totally expect to wake up and the morning and hear Broken Foot, out 4-6 months. And it's cold and grey And this all fucking sucks.
  8. It's bad. It's really bad. You guys wanna get high?
  9. Well, they got a $43 million insurance policy with one blue eye and one brown eye.
  10. He did leg out a triple and scored 3 batters later.............that makes me worry a little less.
  11. Tigers doctors say Riley Greene should be ready to play again, coincidently, right about the time his service time exception expires.
  12. Well, Cabrera is in GREAT shape this spring. Toned up in the off season. I also understand Bonderman is really developing a change up this year.
  13. Yep.....probably broken. 4-6 months out. You know, the whole "can't have nice things" thing. In other news an anvil made by the ACME company has fallen on Spencer Torkelson's head.......
  14. Great, Riley Greene - probably a career-ending injury............probably an amputation coming. We can't have nice things here. And the weather has regressed to February. Make it stop.
  15. Well played Heardle.com.................Well played. Ya got me. Much respect today.
  16. I love this video. Dude has me cracking up. PITCH CLOCK/BATTING BOX CLOCK.............PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN.
  17. Dont even know where they will play yet...........if the league survives to a 2nd year or even an entire 1st. The Fords own Fords Field and you can put them in a 60,000 seat venue even if they did allow it, that would be embarrassing to see 6,000 people in a place that big. . The old Tiger Stadium spot would need a huge increase in seating, but that is a candidate The field where DCFC plays is a candidate but soccer fans will throw a fit. Seems like Wayne State's football field, with some added seating would be a good candidate, and really, they are the MICHIGAN Panthers, so maybe they could play around the state, a game in Lansing, Grand Rapids, Detroit, Ypsi, Traverse City...........that might get expensive, though.
  18. I hope you're right, but I am extremely worried that as long as Chris Illitch owns this team, we're not really anything but something to do to pass the time in the Summer. And I'm even talking about the Carlos Correa thing. I think he used the Tigers and Hinch as leverage and was never coming here. Fine. There is just as much a chance that Minnesota regrets the signing than celebrates division titles. He was the best of the bunch at a position of need, but 35 million a year for that guy? I've seen his numbers and he's good, but he's not a superstar.
  19. You aren't the only one. I really didn't like their disco phase.
  20. It feels like if Torklegreene flops, we might be in the shitter for another 5-7 years. Empty suit ain't gonna really spend.
  21. Well. We hear a lot about Roberto Campos, a lot of people like him. The other guys are all really really young like him, but it seems like the transition to a more sabermetric approach should really be across the whole organization by now, so maybe that helps in development. After Torklegreene it seems like the next batch isn't that close. We've got Ryan Kreidler and hope he shows what he did last year and maybe we get another guy like him that we didn't see coming, Kody Clemens and Daz Cameron are potential bench guys and both still have a chance to improve. Still need to see more of Dirk Diggler, Izaac Pachecho, Gage Workman and Colt Keith. But after the two big guys, there is a massive drop off. Have heard much lately about Reed Rothchild.
  22. Two quotes come to mind when I think of Spring Training..........One of them is Voice of the Turtle and the other one is "Come on, Dorn. Get in front of the damn ball. Don't gimme this Ole bullshit"
  23. He had to have done something wrong. This is too sudden
  24. you know why they have been so bad at developing talent, right?
  25. The advantage is not having a limp noodle, empty suit as an owner.
