Coronavirus: Already In a Neighborhood Near You
Motor City Sonics replied to chasfh's topic in Politics
This is never going to go away. This is here for good now. Too much ignorance to ever build herd immunity, or not quickly enough to stop it in it's tracks before it evolves, which is incredibly quickly. Doesn't matter where it started. Doesn't matter how it started. It's here and it seems to me like it's never going away. -
Coronavirus: Already In a Neighborhood Near You

Isn't it funny how guys like DeSantis are all FREE MARKET and then want to punish private businesses for making a decision for their own company that he doesn't like? My body My Choice (unless you're a woman or gay or trans) -
Why are Traffic Circles so hard for some folks? I love them. I think they are brilliant, they improve traffic flow and cut down on serious accidents, but some folks don't grasp it at all. Saw someone almost hit 2 people last night in a circle in Lake Orion. (I know, I know, some people don't grasp the act of driving well, even in the easiest situation, but still, I am a fan of the traffic circle).

Urban's getting fired tomorrow

But the USC and Notre Dame gigs are already filled. Who will be Jax's coach next year It ain't gonna be Urbie And that begs the question. Is he TRYING to get fired to collect a bunch of money for nothing? Wouldn't put it past that unscrupulous bastard.

I think this is where Tyler Bertuzzi's selfishness is starting to really hurt the team. The only guy left in the NHL. Next time he blows out a knee or separates his shoulder is he going to Joe Rogan to get it fixed?

And what annoys me so much is what Eddie Redmayne won it for. It was a shitty movie about Stephen Hawking, which was just like the shitty (totally inaccurate) movie about John Nash, and, of course, Russell Crowe won. Doesn't it seem that with the Oscars that whomever has to play the most physically or mentally challenging part will always win. The Birdman role was much more challenging because it was so subtle.

But what about David Stern's frozen envelope? And Game 6 of the 2002 Wester Conference Finals!

He should of not typed that.

It doesn't matter. The only thing that will matter is inflation. That's it. Everything else is background noise. Not saying it's right, but if inflation continues, he can't win, no President would. No other issue will matter. Carville was right "It's the economy, stupid" and it's not even the overall economy, it's how much your grocery and gas bill has gone up.

I was thinking about how, once again, we were supposed to see information regarding JFK, and once again, it was "delayed". When the orange bloviating gasbag tried to take credit for releasing JFK info, much of the important stuff was redacted (black lines looked like a barcode). We're never getting the truth. The once conspiracy theory I believe in. Well, that and the NBA frozen envelope thing.

You think the labor thing is going to be solved by Christmas. that is VERY optimistic. I don't think there will be any major league moves until February or March at the earliest.

That's 34 million a year. Not good enough for him. I'd have moved on too.

See, but if I was the parent, I would demand that they defend him too.............

There was an episode of Seinfeld where George decided to do the exact opposite of what he would normally do. His life got much better. The Crumbleys need to try this. Whatever instinct you have, do the opposite because everything you've done since Thanksgiving has been a complete opposite of what you needed to do. I am sure it pre-dates Thanksgiving, but I am just going on what we've seen so far. Maybe there is another side to this, but when you try to flee (and don't give me this bullshit they were turning themselves in, they were hiding out in a basement in a Warehouse), we find it hard to believe that you've made a lot of right decisions. Loved your guns more than your kid. That's sick.

I think I heard on the radio that Parents Of The Year James and Jennifer Crumbley have hired an expensive attorney for their case, but their son? Yeah, not so much.

Then get him some damn glasses !

I think Torkelson, Greene and Kreidler will all have great rookie seasons in 2023 after they spend a full year at Toledo in 2022 because we won't have MLB baseball at all.

I lived in Athens, Ga. I loved it there. Cool town. Much less snobby than Ann Arbor, which I also love. Athens was much more affordable too (at least back then, not so much now). Ann Arbor had The Stooges and Bob Seger, Athens had R.E.M. and The B-52s. I wore shorts in January in Athens. They all thought I was crazy. 40 Watt Club and Blind Pig both had the same vibe. I like both equally. Both had great record stores back in the day. Athens gets high with a balloon festival these days, Ann Arbor gets high with Hash Bash. Ann Arbor is losing it's personality as the old hippies that opened businesses are retiring and their businesses are being replaced with chains. I don't know if that is happening in Athens. Athens had The Varsity (it's moved) and Weaver D's (Automatic For The People). Ann Arbor has Zingerman's and the Fleetwood (hippie has browns). Athens was 90 mins. away from Atlanta, Ann Arbor is 40 minutes from Detroit.
