  1. Wow, Mo is on his way to 123 assists this year !
  2. and AHL goalies and defenses are nowhere near as good as the NHL.
  3. perhaps he needed the motivation. not always a bad move.
  4. That was a good one actually. Like a real life Boogie Nights.
  5. I hate the Astros. I'm sick of the Red Sox. The Dodgers prove there should be s salary cap. So I guess that means I am pulling for the Braves. I think they built their team the right way, and that takes a long time.
  6. Vancouver Canucks (1-0-1) at Detroit Red Wings (0-0-1) Red Wings squander two 3-goal leads and lose contentious opener vs. Stanley Cup champions. The team will be without Captain Dylan Larkin, serving a one-game suspension for wielding the fist of justice! Tyler Bertuzzi coming off a 4-goal game and the rookies looked a'ight. Should be a good one. The Canucks need to go back to that skate logo fulltime. Every other logo they ever had sucked, but that one was epic and the whale thing makes no sense to anyone.
  7. He's not Jonahtan Ericsson-level bad, but he looks slow, not the skating, but the reactions. It was very noticeable.
  8. This thing has me fired up for Wings hockey for the first time in years. I hope the team plays a little angry on Saturday. I am wondering how much rope Danny DeKeyser is going to get. Didn't look good at all yesterday.
  9. Anyone watching Dope Sick yet? I am already well into American Rust, which is excellent.
  10. The You Tube suggestions threw this video on my list and I don't know why. I watched it. There is no narration, in fact, no sound, other than ambient. This was filmed around Kensington Ave area of Philadelphia. Drug Zombies looking like the Walking Dead. Some are passed out on the dirty ground others are literally just frozen like statues. It's scary and so sad and I realize how lucky I am. Detroit gets such a bad rap, but I have never seen this in Detroit, not on this scale. How does this happen in an American city?
  11. This looks like a Bjork horror video.
  12. Nah, sometimes a brand new start is good. Like moving into a new house. We can't be like Beaver Cleaver and remove the tree from your old house and replant it here. Besides, I rank really high in Reputation Points and I since I am no good at anything, I want to challenge Bertie for the title..........if only I could photoshop. I dare you to like this. I DARE YOU !!!!!!
  13. Take away their guns. If they end up ever being in possession of one again - Life in Prison.
  14. Every radio station I've worked at smoking was banned in the studios. Rock & Alternative rock stations with a lot of smokers too. Pretty rare in the 80s/90s. It's a nightmare on cart machine and reel to real tape deck heads. Only one instance of someone who ignored the rule and they got suspended. My parents were both smokers (and both later quit) and I couldn't stand it as a kid, there was no way I was ever going to do it. My dad died from asbestos-related cancer. Probably got exposed 40 years before the symptoms showed, that's just crazy.
  15. 1 game is 100% worth it. He set a tone. He sent a message "Don't f*ck with me" and that's worth the 1 game. Screw the Lightning and screw the Canucks too.
  16. Wow, he got rooked there. But there were a lot of bad pitch calls, especially in the favor of the Dodgers ROBOT UMPS NOW
  17. It's amazing that in my 20s I was fine with it and I can't stand cigarette smoke and would come home, side door, take all the cloths off, throw them right down the stairs into a bin in the basement and go right to the shower, wash my hair, and then go to bed so my pillow wouldn't smell. That's like a whole different lifetime, man.
  18. Nutjob Allen West is telling people not to fear COVID because even though he was hospitalized, he didn't die. That's like Tupac telling people not to fear bullets after the first time he got shot 5 times. It's just irresponsible as Hell, but that's Allen West for you.
  19. I didnt like being in a crowded bar before this happened, so things are peachy for me.
  20. See, what happened it 12 Monkeys was a true story from the future and a REAL time traveler wrote the screenplay and we'll be living underground soon. It's all David Morse's fault. (I should post this on Q-Tard site, they'll believe anything).
  21. The ones I work with. On the days I go into the office I have to wear a mask all day, and not a cloth one, a surgical one. They are itchy, they are annoying, they make things a lot warmer than a cloth mask, but hey, that's the rule, I work for a hospital (in the office building, not directly in contact with patients), so I don't think they are just throwing it out there willy nilly. And we no longer have unvaccinated employees, the 400 or so that refused are no longer employed. Their choice, tough luck, good luck in future endeavors. We have over 40,000 employees, I think it was less than 10 doctors that refused to get vaccinated (who weren't disqualified for health reasons). I'll trust the thousands of doctors who did. They're the experts. I don't like wearing masks, but when I got to a place that has a lot of people, I will wear one. When I go to a store I'm not required to wear a mask, but I wear one. I'm not worried about getting sick, but I don't want to get someone else sick because I can still carry the virus, even though I've already had my booster at this point. I went about a week without wearing a mask in that situation but after talking to a friend who survived cancer, I decided to do it again. I've been to a few concerts, but I haven't been to any sporting events. I haven't missed that much, it's so damned expensive just to show up to a game anymore. Watching the crowd at the Wings game made me miss it a bit, but not going probably saved me $300, so I am fine. I don't know about these lockdowns you seem to be referencing, where are they? We don't seem to be headed for more of them. It's just now we have to make some adjustments between that and what life was like before that. I'm willing. My life is mostly back to normal and because someone at my second job decided not to get the shot (not a right-winger, just silly hippie mentality), I am actually picking up more work and benefiting financially. I wish them good luck burning sage or whatever the f*ck they think will fend this shi* off.
  22. I'll listen to what the doctors have to say.
  23. Well, there may not be an end to this. If enough people refuse to protect themselves or others around them this will continue. COVID is here for good. We are nowhere near herd immunity and so it will continue. Polio still exists but we vaccinated enough people worldwide to limit the spread.
