It's really nice to see Riley get a couple hits. He really, really needed it. Maybe he can relax a bit now and just PLAY ball again.

I don't think I've ever been more let down by a Red Wings season than this one. They've had worse teams, but you knew they were bad. This was just a total nightmare. As far as the 4-Nations thing goes. I don't think they should do it again during the season. That was the catalyst for the collapse. The lack of urgency at the trade deadline - yet again - didn't help either. Nobody wants to hear about draft capital anymore It was an underwhelming offseason and that is what played out. We all saw it. Achingly close to the playoffs last year and they didn't do much of anything.

The other half that hit them were distracted from gambling on their phones - driven by the rest of the commercials. I mean, I can't believe those offers. How in the world do the casinos even make money?

According to a lot of medical people - the medical part was pretty accurate, but some griped about no ER would be that chaotic in a single day, but stop for a second - it's a TV show. I think a big part of this show's existence is to show America all the issues that these medical folks are dealing with and how maybe we should respect them more. The charge nurse getting coldcocked is not far fetched at all. Medical personnel get attacked all the time. Especially nurses and female staff (because of gutless men who won't fight someone their own size). Look, our society is **** right now. I don't think it's hard to understand why certain people are where they are. I blame Reality TV and it's insistence in putting people in constant confrontation - normalizing it. I blame the internet where you don't have to face someone to bully them and I blame the general spread of misinformation. The Pitt covered a ton of it and they didn't even really scratch the surface. The Measles Mom and her "Dr. Google" are a prime example. I trust people with medical experience, not a website. Websites can point you in the right direction, but they can point you down a dangerous rabbit hole. If the boy with Measles had been moved to a different hospital, they would have told her all the same things, and she still would not have believed them, because "on the internet it says........."

I don't think JB wins Coach Of The Year, but he should. It's not the final number as much as it's where they were coming from. But there's a lot of lazy records that'll just look at most wins and not consider where they were last year. And I think they left 4-5 wins on the table too. They lost some heartbreakers early on and then lost a few where their seeding was already decided late. And, as mentioned early, Ivey was becoming a really good player. It's like JB freed him to just play and he responded before the injury. But, if Ivey doesn't go down, maybe Malik doesn't do his thing. It was just one hell of a job by JB. If they narrow it down to 3 it's going to be Atkinson, Daigneault and Bickerstaff. If Udoka beats out Bickerstaff as a finalist, it would be an insult, but I think that would actually HELP the Pistons motivation-wise. Quite honestly, if this team has bolted for Las Vegas or Seattle or anywhere else after last year, I don't think people would have cared all that much. That's how bad they'd become.

They shouldn't count facing All Star teams that have a billion dollar payroll and the umps in their pocket against our record.
