Wow, are people really upset over this week? They GAINED a game this week in the division. The White Sox have once decent thing and that's some decent pitching. I think maybe the team lost a little intensity this week in Chicago and that's just fine. Gotta do that actually over 162. Still went 4-3 on a road trip. Give me that for EVERY road trip and I'm happy. Everything's fine. I'm a little worried about starting pitcher depth, after the main 5 and Montero there seems to be a steep drop off and I can't really count on Gipson-Long yet and I don't know what's going on with the Cobbler. They need another arm. I think Jobe's headed where we all fear he'll be headed. What the hell happened to Manning? He was at least a 4 or 5 there in 2023 - Dude has a great Spring in 2024 and loses a spot to Olson and it just seems like the life left his body. He's gotta be fixable. If he could be what he was in 2022 and 2023 then there's some depth to get ya through for a bit.

I hope Steelers OC Arthur Smith updates his resume. His job is already in jeopardy. I do think Tomlin is safe.......but who knows?

I know there are exceptions. The Red Hot Chili Peppers did it for a Super Bowl Halftime, but Anthony's mic was actually live. They said they'd never do that, but there were several acts and moving pieces and you can't properly soundcheck for that. Prince and Springsteen did not mime their halftime shows, but they were the only act playing, so they could do a little soundchecking.

I know for younger music fans these days, and ones of pop music, they don't care, but I really have no respect for people who lip synch, even partially. I have seen older artists that don't hit all the notes anymore and I am fine with that. In a TV show setting, I kind of understand, but not a live one. I think it's weak

What happens when Matt Vierling healths up ? I don't really see anyone they need to send down. I don't see Sweeny being the guy to go down Three weeks ago I would have said Colt Keith, but he's finally come around. Maybe put him in cryogenic sleep until Mid May every year? No spot for Matty V. Wow, what a good problem to have. Of all the trade deadline needs, if this team stays healthy, it might be an inning-eating starting pitcher. A 4th or a 5th.

That's just him in the zone. Like a starting pitcher on game days. I've met him 3 times and he actually remembered me once at Bonnaroo (not my name but he said "Hey - Ann Arbor, right?") He's actually quite friendly -at least he has been since the late 90's - he was a bit of a jackass in his earlier years, I think it was a schtick as much as anything. A few people set him straight on that. He was trying to be a "punk". The stage is his domain. Plus, he probably couldn't see you very well from the bad eyesight and all the lights pointed at him. So the glare might have just been him squinting.

Hao-Yu Lee has quietly had a pretty incredible May. .326 BA, .421 OBP and .910 OPS. We don't have a spot for him here, but if something opened up with an injury to an infielder, Goodbye Kreidler, give this guy a shot.

No longer a small sample size In their last 162 games 95-67 Since August 11, 2024 69-34, which is a .670 clip, which would be 108-54 over a full season. This is VERY similar to the 2021 Giants, who won 107 games. Nobody's stats on the team really blew you away. But like our team this year, their starting pitching was solid 1-5 and they didn't even have a Skubal. And the Giants still only won their division by one game. The Giants fell off sharply the next year to 81-81, but I feel like our team is better suited to last (as long as they stay relatively healthy).

That's just gonna make this so much more exciting when the Tigers plate 3 runs in the 9th.

As a player, Mark Canha is about as exciting as milk.
