For instance, with 91% counted in Illinois, there's about 1 million fewer votes, most of them coming off Harris total.

It seems like the Haley Republicans for Harris was a myth. This goes back to the old saying, Republicans fall in line and Democrats fall in love. Republicans consistently fell in line with Trump. Democrats through Biden overboard at the first hint of trouble. Harris basically fell back to Clinton and 2012 Obama level support and Trump held onto his increases.
