  1. I love how they are praising the speed and closing ability of Parsons because he chased down the slowest QB in the league.
  2. Why do people quote TP? He needs therapy.
  3. If Anzalone holds on to that INT, that's probably a TD.
  4. In 2023 when they went 12-5 and made it to the NFC Championship Game, they got crushed by the Ravens.
  5. This may have been the time to run the lateral to St Brown.
  6. Both those calls look weak. Goff got nearly concussed last year in the playoffs and no call.
  7. That 3rd down didn't look like a screen to me. It looked like a check down.
  8. I need to see another replay. Of course, we just get commercials.
  9. Fields looks like a different QB. He's looking downfield now when he decides to leave the pocket. In Chicago, once he left the pocket he was running with it.
  10. The Dolphins are getting shutout into the 4th quarter. Mike McDaniel seems like the type of coach who can lose the locker room when things start to go south. The fun nerd is cool when you are winning, but I'm not sure when you're losing.
  11. Since 2021, the Lions have the 3rd highest percentage of draft picks still on the roster, only 1% behind Chicago. Minnesota has the lowest percentage in the league.
  12. Of course Williams was essentially part of the Stafford trade. In addition to Goff, the Lions ended up with the following: RB Jahmyr Gibbs (via trade with Cardinals) TE Sam LaPorta (via trade with Cardinals) DT Brodric Martin (via trade with Cardinals) WR Jameson Williams (via trade with Vikings) EDGE Josh Paschal (via trade with Vikings) CB Ifeatu Melifonwu The Lions ended up with four cornerstone players from that trade and swindled the Vikings along the way.
  13. Just to revisit the trade that got Jameson Williams, Minnesota ended up with Cine and Asamoah. Neither are on the Vikings roster. Cine was a complete disaster. Kwesi is a terrible drafter.
  14. In Holmes first three drafts, he's drafted at least three players in each draft worthy of second contracts, and not just second contracts but top of the market contracts. The Lions get their stars through the draft. They don't have to trade for stars.
  15. The Lions are managing the cap well. As long as they don't do something like blow it all up by handing out a huge contract to someone like Parsons or Hendrickson, they will be fine. The good thing is all these players came in multiple drafts so they can stagger the extensions.
  16. The Lions were in a different place with Hockenson. They were 1-6 after going 3-13-1. They were still in the rebuild phase. I also get the vibe from Hockenson that he didn't want to be here. I think they will extend Gibbs. They already extended Montgomery. I wouldn't be surprised if Branch is the odd man odd. Two of the highest paid safeties in the league on the same roster may be tough to navigate.
  17. I would let Paschal walk. Rodriguez I would keep. Should be cheap given he's coming off injury. Anzalone is the odd man out. He's probably the first victim of the cap. A good player but not a star. He's also over 30. I thought they would sign Williams but I thought they would give it another season. This is a good contract. The extension doesn't go into effect until two years from now. By then he may not even be in the top 20 highest paid receivers.
  18. That would be to fire Campbell, not the coordinators. The first call to fire Holmes will be after Parsons gets a pressure on Goff.
