    Then they could have traded for an injured pass rusher and give him a larger contract than the better pass rusher they let walk because they make it happen.

    They extended McNeil halfway through the last year of his contract when he was having a Pro Bowl season. GTFO with that. The Eagles could have just re-signed Sweat for less money than Greenard who was better than Greenard and didn't cost multiple draft picks. The Eagles were also just as quiet as the Lions in free agency. AJ Brown is also good as gone so that frees up cap space.

    Moseley and Davenport were cheap one year contracts on players who had proven track record when healthy. Rakestraw didn't have the injury McCoy. Mosley and Davenport weren't gambles.

    I've seen some say he was a fringe 2nd round pick. We really don't know if he would have been around or not. A lot of people said that about Gibbs and the Jets GM admitted he would have taken Gibbs at 15.
