  1. Just a reminder: His completion % was 69.5%, for 898 yards, 9 TDs, 2 INTs, and a 105.1 passer rating during that stretch. That rating was 4th during that stretch behind Rodgers, Mahomes and Burrow. Ben Johnson working the offense which also saw more involvement of St Brown, something that resembled a deep threat in Reynolds, and suddenly Goff looked more like 2018 Goff.
  2. Goff was a different QB when Campbell and Johnson took over the offense and they signed Reynolds. I think Goff will have a Kirk Cousins type season. He'll have the numbers, he won't lose any games, maybe even win a game or two, and create serious debate if he's the future QB or not.
  3. The US built one of the largest freeway networks in the world. They can build high speed rail if they wanted to. High speed doesn't need to be everywhere. You would probably want a high speed line from DC to Boston, New York to Chicago, and maybe one entirely within California from San Diego to San Francisco.
  4. I liked the Rodriguez pick. The NFL is moving away from the big plodders at linebacker like Tavai. I think we are going to see more hybrid type safety/linebackers like Rodriguez. If this were 1996 I would be worried about Rodriguez's size but I think he fits in today's NFL.
  5. The US needs high speed rail. I was just reading that an Amtrak trip from New York to Chicago is 21 hours. In China a route of that distance would be 4 hours. We continue to poor money into freeways but high speed rail connecting large urban centers would also appeal to the climate people as it would reduce car emissions and plane emissions.
  6. Per the article it's using existing rail so I don't think it's too optimistic. I just don't think it should be a high priority. The priority should be better rail transit connecting Detroit, Ann Arbor, Lansing, and Grand Rapids. I'm also interested in the idea of rail transit from Detroit to Toronto.
  7. Oh gee, what opinion have I been hammering on at every opportunity for years?
  8. Birkett is always critical of the offense. Every year he wanted the Lions to draft a QB to replace Stafford.
  9. Apparently this election in Alaska was good for Democrats. Not sure how exactly this ranked choice shakes out, but it looks promising for the Democrat.
  10. The only way to do that is to vote Democrat. As a foolish former president once said, "either you're with us, or with the terrorists."
  11. I was being facetious. I think at best she'll endorse a third party.
  12. What's interesting in the polls is that Ron Johnson has remained steady at 44. There was 7% undecided pre Dobbs and that's down to 3% and that 4% seems to have gone all to Barnes. Barnes is also at 51%. Even if all the undecideds go for Johnson, Barnes still wins. Johnson needs voters to change their minds.
  13. Gavin Newsom getting salty.
  14. Maybe that explains why Dems don't turn out for elections and lose them.
  15. Republicans look at unfavorable polls and say don't believe them go vote. Democrats look at favorable polls and tell us all the way Democrats are going to lose.
  16. Because voters vote on culture wars and the Democrats have a culture war they can win. Republicans vote against their best interest constantly because of culture wars.
  17. I was referring to all the women who have registered to vote post Roe decision. That would favor Democrats.
