  1. When I was looking into an electric vehicle, I looked into Tesla and the Tesla fanboys are a cult and it's no different than Trumpers.
  2. Red states are generally poorer so it's a combination of red state economics, gun policy and education.
  3. Democrats are being labeled as weak on crime when red states are the ones with the crime issues. Red states generally have looser gun laws and more access to guns (I've mentioned this before). Red states generally are poorer due to their economy policies. Red states generally have poorer education due to their policies.
  4. Probably as much nuance as it's the blue cities.
  5. I mean, 7 of the top states with the highest violent crime rate are red states as well so yeah both are true. It's the same argument you made that all the crime in red states is due to blue cities. One thing these red states have in common is that they are poor and have loose gun laws.
  6. Jackson and Little Rock for example aren't high density cities. San Francisco is the densest city in the country outside of New York. Los Angeles is 6 times as dense as Little Rock.
  7. 7 of the top 10 states are red states and I'm stretching considering Georgia a blue state. In fact, the 7 states with the highest murder rates are red states. You're literally backing up my point here. 17 of the top 25 states you listed here are red states. I also don't think Chicago's murder rate is acceptable but it may shock you that I can have two independent competing thoughts. I find it interesting California isn't even in the top half and they have more blue cities than any state in the country.
  8. So why do red states have on average higher crime and violent crime? Blue states have blue cities. They are bigger and bluer than red state blue cities. If red state blue cities were bigger, they would be blue states. And no, for 2020 per the CDC Oklahoma has a higher homicide rate than Michigan. https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/pressroom/sosmap/homicide_mortality/homicide.htm The top states are Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Missouri, Arkansas, South Carolina. Those are all more than Illinois which has the blue, hell on earth, Chicago.
  9. It seems to track with poverty level as well which are mostly red states. State like Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, and New Mexico have high murder rates and all are among the poorest in the country.
  10. Minnesota has the 6th lowest homicide rate in the country. Must be those red cities of Minneapolis and St Paul.
  11. And all the big crime is in red states. Blue states have blue cities that are bigger and bluer than blue cities in red states and still have less violent crime. Perhaps it's the easier access to guns? Why does Oklahoma have a higher murder rate than Michigan? What city in Oklahoma is bluer and more violent than Detroit?
  12. Thankfully the Republican dominated state government in Tennessee is passing bills to marry children instead of addressing crime in Memphis.
  13. And the most violent places in blue states are in blue cities like Detroit, Chicago, Newark etc. and yet the blue states still have lower violent crime.
  14. I was under the impression the license plate was off a different vehicle? That's not the same as missing or expired tags.
  15. Texas is narrowing every election so your vote is starting to matter more. The fact that your vote is starting to matter is why Texas continues to push more and more restrictive voter laws.
  16. Ironically it's mostly red states that have the highest crime, particularly violent crime. Once again the Democrats don't know how to message and come up with Defund the Police.
  17. Does Corral get to come back the next day?
  18. Even with the blue wall, Democrats still won the popular vote. Of the 5 times a president has won the EC and not the popular vote, it was the Republican who benefited the last four times. A Republican hasn't won the popular vote since 2004 and that was the only time since 1988. The EC has never favored Democrats.
  19. But they traded it for the last pick of the 1st round in a weak draft. The Lions are pretty much assured of a higher pick in what figures to be a better draft. I would do that trade all day long if I were the Lions.
  20. Or suppose that Lyoya was the Brooklyn Subway shooter. The cop didn't know who he was or if he had warrants out for his arrest. The fact that he is riding around with the wrong plate on his car and gets out and flees is a serious red flag that he probably has some bad warrants out for his arrest.
  21. Was it really necessary for the suspect to flee and resist arrest? I mean, if it was just the wrong plate, why did he need to flee? Everyone should just start fleeing when they get pulled over.
  22. What cities have actually defunded their police? Most cities have increased their police budget and police budgets remain one of the highest costs of any city's police budget. The fact is, only a few extreme Democrats came up with Defund the Police. I have no idea why they thought that was a good slogan. I used to be one who always voted for police milage increases but not anymore. I continue to see police in my city just ignore basic traffic laws. It makes me wonder why I should continue to support them.
  23. I went down a rabbit hole with some Green Party supporters in Pennsylvania and have come to the conclusion we are screwed. They literally do not care that Democracy is hanging in the balance in a state that has razor thin margins. They are convinced the world is going to end in 2025 unless Pennsylvania elects a Green Party governor. Apparently the Democrats are just as bad as the Republicans and I'm just as terrible because I won't throw my vote away on a candidate who will only get 1% of the vote at best.
  24. I never get this argument that California and New York shouldn't determine who is elected. They are Americans just like people from Wyoming. If there votes count less, than I guess Kevin McCarthy, Devin Nunes and Elise Stefanik's vote should count less.
