  1. With the skyrocketing salaries of receivers, I'm inclined to take a WR at 32 to get that extra year of team control.
  2. Hill even led the All Star voting when he played like 4 games his first year in Orlando. I remember Grant Hill being highly endorsed in Detroit. I remember his Sprite and McDonalds commercials. The league was searching for it's next superstar since Michael Jordan was on the way out and Grant Hill's name was thrown in that mix. Wallace and Billups were good players who made all star teams but were never the star that Grant Hill was.
  3. If the plate doesn't match the car, it could be an indication that the car or plate is stolen.
  4. We have roughly 6,000 employees at my company through various offices in a couple states. The CEO seems determined to get everyone back into the office. There was a voluntarily sign up to return to the office starting in April. Out of 6,000 employees, 52 people volunteered to return. They are easing everybody to return despite 99% of the company does not want to return. One of the thinks they are offering is COVID sick time. Employees get an additional 40 hours of paid sick leave if they positive for COVID. There is no vaccine mandate but you basically have to state each day if you have COVID symptoms. All this because one person wants everyone to return.
  5. What is crucial in these moments after the suspect has been apprehended is that we identify the gun used with 100% accuracy. That is of the utmost importance right now.
  6. Montez Sweat was compared to Danielle Hunter. Note that Hunter has had multiple seasons of 12.5 and 14.5 sacks. Sweat has peaked at 9. I mean, if we're drafting a pass rusher at 8 shouldn't he be an All-Pro like Danielle Hunter?
  7. If everyone in Brooklyn was armed, they could have started firing indiscriminately in the smoke filled subway station. I'm sure they would have hit their target eventually.
  8. My comparison to Hill was more that I think Hill was the last true star the Pistons have had. With the way the NBA is these days, I expect him to leave as soon as possible for the next super team. The Pistons will put in all the work developing him and another team will sign him or give us a bunch of useless draft picks when we are forced to trade him.
  9. If Hockenson were healthy, he was on pace for 85 receptions, 825 yards, and 7 TDs. I feel there is more upside and provided he's healthy can be an 80/900/8 a year guy. None of the pass rusher you want so bad after Hockenson have had a double digit sack season. They aren't elite pass rushers. Would I be disappointed if the Lions drafted one over Hockenson? No but at the same time none are Aaron Donald. I don't think Hockenson was sold as a generational talent. You seem to be convinced of that but I saw a lot of comparisons to Jason Witten. He was build as the best all around TE in the draft. The argument about who they drafted in the past is lazy logic. Using that same logic, the Lions should have passed on Calvin Johnson. You're right we got a nice player but you make it sound like the Lions passed on All-Pro's. The Lions got the same production as Sweat from an undrafted player. Why waste a 1st round pick on a pass rusher when the Lions got the same production from an undrafted player?
  10. This play in was dumb enough but this is even worse. Why not 7 vs 10 and 8 vs 9 and the winners are seeded 7 and 8 based on record? Why do the Clippers get a 2nd chance?
  11. Achilles injuries are devasting for defensive backs. If Okudah is anything close to the player he was suppose to be, that would be a huge bonus for the Lions. The good news I guess is that his injury happened in the 1st game. He should be ready to go by training camp.
  12. Cunningham is Grant Hill 2.0. He'll be a star, the Pistons will be middle of the pack at best and lose some 1st round playoff series, and Cunningham will depart for the next super team.
  13. Probably not but a 1 year contract on what is likely not a large guarantee is worth taking a flier on. It's the type of signings a team like the Lions should be doing.
  14. I like this signing. Elliot is not a bad player when healthy and would be an upgrade over Will Harris. He's still young too.
  15. Under the Wyoming rule, California would go from 52 districts to at least 68.
  16. There were some good receivers taken in the 2nd round that year. Deebo Samuel, AJ Brown, and DK Metcalf. Samuel was off the board when the Lions drafted. The Lions drafted Tavai that year in the 2nd round.
  17. There were exactly 8 Pro Bowlers in the 1st round that year and Hockenson was one of them. Four of those 8 Pro Bowlers were drafted before Hockenson.
  18. It literally was since 6 of the next 10 drafted were DL/LB. Unless of course you wanted Dwayne Haskins or some average guards.
  19. I guess the Lions drafting a 8-9 sack a year pass rusher 8th would be so much better.
  20. These immigrants are lucky. I would take a free bus ride out of Texas all day long.
  21. I'll take it since it means both Los Angeles teams are now eliminated.
