  1. I went to college in Florida and ended up in an internship at Disney World. They came to my school and put on a presentation about their college program. They sold it as if college students would be working in the executive offices of Disney World. They even called it an executive internship. I spoke with my academic advisor who said she had a few students do the program and it was great and they loved it. I was like sure and applied. Went through the interview process and got accepted. When I arrive at Disney World it wasn't at all what I was sold. It turns out I was working in the Magic Kingdom at the confectionary. I was basically a cashier. I quickly realized the internship was nothing more than a scam to get cheap labor as we were all being paid $7.25 an hour under the guise it was a learning experience. We were really resented by the full time staff as we were keeping their wages low. I also got the sense that Disney wasn't the most popular in Orlando. It had the reputation at that time of a Walmart. Large corporation that pays it's employees little. A lot of the employees who worked at Disney were at or near poverty. There were a lot of Hispanic workers which I would imagine is typical in Central Florida. Many couldn't speak English yet were there to try to train me on the job. I don't think there is going to be the blowback as many expect. This was nearly 20 years ago so attitudes in and around Orlando could have changed towards Disney. I really have no sympathy what happens to Disney. I saw the underbelly of the beast but what the state is doing to retaliate and censor and cancel Disney is just shocking and appalling. As much as I do not like Disney, I'm with them on this one.
  2. The guy in the luxury box is Chris Illitch. Guessing the woman is his wife.
  3. I didn't even know CNN+ even launched yet.
  4. It looks like someone with diarrhea from IBS who cannot stand up because it will all come flowing out.
  5. Even less likely may be anyone of us seeing another Triple Crown winner in our lifetime.
  6. Only clip I care about is a roach clip.
  7. I wonder if this happens with a knife? https://www.clickondetroit.com/news/local/2022/04/21/father-shot-and-killed-by-neighbor-in-oxford-township/
  8. If Stabenow retires, there will be a lot of competition. The competition I see now is Gretchen Whitmer, Mike Duggan, Karen McDonald, Haley Stevens, and Dan Kilde.
  9. I thought I had heard the phrase Rock and Roll originated in Cleveland? Either way this is all they have so just let them have it.
  10. It seems like Rapoport is just speculating. Trading for Samuel goes against everything the Lions have done to date. Since Samuel doesn't want to play RB, is he really worth $25+ million per?
  11. Word of advice. The US has a homicide rate that is four times higher than the UK. I wouldn't go citing the UK if your goal is more guns keep us safe. Also, they didn't properly identify the knife so that article is null and void.
  12. The CEO of the airline said the cancellation was due to COVID. They even proactively canceled flights because of it. 4% may not seem like a big deal to you, but if my company had to close 4% of it's operations that would be a big deal especially if a simple mask could have prevented it.
  13. I guarantee if the headline said "Airlines that dropped mask mandate have not experienced staff shortages due to COVID-19" and said the same number of airlines in the same timeframe and same number of flights, you would not be calling the article clickbait.
  14. I thought they didn't find a disabled car nearby? How far did he walk then?
  15. Right because you have no political agenda.
  16. Chas inferred it was fake which is what I was referencing. I don't know how many airlines are in Europe. The headline didn't say all airlines in Europe experiencing shortages. The irony here is you call out my faults yet YOU clicked on the link because YOU have a political agenda to try to prove me wrong so it also worked in making YOU click on the link. Mission accomplished.
  17. So the headlines says "airlines that dropped mask mandates now suffering staff shortages." The article referenced airlines, as in plural, that cancelled flights. It sited 4% of flights cancelled which is 4 times as may during this time period in 2019. It cited the CEO of the airline who stated cancellations were up due to staff shortages related to COVID. Exactly what the headline said. It didn't say mass shortages, it said shortages which is accurate. First the article was fake and a joke. Now it's clickbait.
  18. What is clickbait about it?
  19. No, it's a real article. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/airlines-face-mask-covid-rules-flights-canceled/ Appears it's overseas airlines. Conclusion: Not a joke.
  20. Funny how Trump doesn't want to debate the guy who apparently has no idea where he's at.
  21. Also remember that the Rams traded the 2nd overall pick to Washington in the RGIII trade for three 1st round picks. They also traded multiple 1st round picks for Goff before they started traded picks for veterans. When they traded for Cooks, they were coming off an 11 win season in which they won the division. They weren't coming off a 3 win season when they started trading picks for veterans.
  22. Not interested. Stick to the plan.
