  1. In 2020 Jamal Adams had 9.5 sacks. I can see Hamilton being used in a similar fashion as a pass rusher. Hamilton seems to be the modern NFL defender. Quinn and Patricia were stuck in the 90's drafting the big body physical players like Tavai. If Hutchinson is off the board, I think I like Hamilton the best to be honest. I don't care that he is labeled a safety.
  2. Given the lack of high end prospects in this draft, I wouldn't be too disappointed if the Lions drafted Hamilton. I would be happier if they could trade back a couple spots and draft him.
  3. Yeah I have no problem with the Lions passing on that.
  4. Looking at the 2017 draft, the Jets certainly should have taken Mahomes or Watson, but I don't see anyone else I would rather have drafted than Adams. The Jets were even able to trade him for multiple 1st round picks.
  5. Let's not forget, Dorsey drafted Hill in the 5th round. The Lions have proven talent evaluators in their front office. Just stick to the plan. No need to throw around money and picks right now.
  6. This is kind of surprising.
  7. I still can't forget that Holmes passed on Fields and was over the top excited to draft Sewell. I can't imagine a lot has changed in the past year that would change their minds. I wouldn't be opposed to drafting Willis but I don't think they will do it.
  8. I'm coming around to drafting Willis. The Lions are set up perfectly right now to draft a developmental QB. They have a veteran QB who is more than adequate to start next season, they already have a good offensive line and adequate run game, they still have another 1st round pick and two 1st round picks next year to add talent before Willis would even be asked to be the full time starter. Bonus if Goff plays as well as he did at the end of last year, they could trade him for a decent draft pick.
  9. If there was a draft to take a gamble on, this would be the one. There is no can't miss player in this draft. There is a realistic chance a safety could be the best player at 2. The Lions still have another 1st round pick and high 2nd round pick to fill holes plus two 1st round picks next year.
  10. I can't wait until the Lions draft Willis and he dominates in training camp and people starting melting down wanting to fire Dan Campbell and Ben Johnson after they don't pull Goff after his first INT.
  11. Matt Ryan traded to the Colts for a 3rd round pick.
  12. I'm thinking a lot of teams are saying they could've offered that.
  13. I feel shameful posting Skip Bayliss here, but he's pretty spot on.
  14. Haven't we learned with Stafford that you can't just plug a franchise QB on a bad team and expect to win? Houston was 4-12 in Watson's last season with possibly more talent than the current Lions roster. It made little sense.
  15. If they can get a 1st for Baker, the Lions damn well better trade Goff for a 1st + because Goff is a better QB.
  16. While you're heaping praise on the Browns, don't forget they traded the pick that was used to draft Watson.
  17. The Browns traded away 3 1st round picks and locked in a guy to a $230 million fully guaranteed contract who missed an entire seasons and has someone questionable off the field behavior.
  18. He will also sign fully guaranteed 5 year $230 million deal.
  19. I read that they heard a pop in the ankle area. Could be an Achilles. If it is an Achilles, he could even fall out of the draft. *Edit* The Achilles is just speculation on my part.
