  1. But the relevant state is Virginia and not Washington or California. The court case was about facemasks in Virginia schools. I'm not even sure where Indiana comes in either.
  2. Well Virginia is averaging much fewer cases than Indiana so not sure why you are citing California's numbers.
  3. I was at that game. I even said we are seeing one of the great young QBs in the NFL. Unfortunately, Charlie Batch only lasted one more season with the Lions.
  4. Took him only 13 months to say it.
  5. Apparently Dave Wannstedt is saying the Lions hired Matt Nagy. Not sure how reliable he is, but if Bill Belichick knew who the Giants were hiring, maybe Wannstedt has inside info being a former Bears coach.
  6. Glad Indiana is over it. They are also vaccinated at a much lower rate than Virginia so it seems like Indiana should be masking more than Virginia.
  7. Could be why Indiana is averaging more cases per 100k than Virginia.
  8. I got the flu shot and booster at the same time. Only issue was leaving Walgreens when all the metal objects started flying off the shelves at me like shrapnel.
  9. It appears to be one of his goons.
  10. I don't go through every team to see their racial makeup, but it seems the Lions do pretty well but they hired a white meathead as coach so burn them at the stake.
  11. I thought the Rooney rule was expanded to include coordinators? The Lions had a black OC, black DC, black assistant coach, black WR coach, black DB coach, black LB coach, and that's just off the top of my head. Along with the black GM and assistant GM the Lions seem to be doing well in this regard.
  12. If Harbaugh were black, Twitter would be going nuts about how he doesn't have a job in the NFL.
  13. To be honest I think Doug Pederson is a good hire for Jacksonville. Maybe he can mold Lawrence into an MVP caliber QB like he did with Wentz. Given how Jacksonville botched this coaching search, I'm surprised they ended up with a coach of Pederson's caliber.
  14. I have a feeling the Rooney rule may have gotten Brad Holmes hired. He wasn't someone on the radar when the search began. All reports indicate that he impressed in the interview. Was he simply brought in as a Rooney rule interview?
  15. Matt Nagy didn't have Patrick Mahomes, at least as the starting QB, and the Andy Reid head coaching tree is not bad. Doug Pederson and John Harbaugh came from that tree and won Super Bowls. I wouldn't be terribly upset if Nagy was hired as offensive coordinator.
  16. Especially after the black head coach they wanted to hire turned them down.
  17. It seems like there is a difference between one accusation where charges were dropped vs multiple run ins with the law and convictions and being involved in a alcohol, drug and sex scandal while a coach at Colorado.
  18. Eric Bieniemy has been arrested and convicted for assault, pleaded no contest to shoving a firefighter, arrested for assaulted a female parking attendant and banned by the University of Colorado for a year, arrested for DUI and had numerous driver's license suspensions, and was linked to using prostitutes to recruit players to Colorado. The guy is just being held to such high standards.
  19. It's interesting the same people outraged that Bienemy hasn't been hired are the same ones who would be outraged if a white coach had that sort of criminal history. They are also the same people who wanted to cancel Chauncey Billups because of an allegation from 1997 in favor of a white woman.
  20. I was led to believe ISIS was in Mexico crossing our border at will? I'm thinking this is fake news.
  21. My theory has to do with the fact that the league is 70% black. Take someone like Sean McVay. He was a player in college but had no future in the NFL. He immediately went into coaching after graduation and worked his way into an offensive coordinator position before becoming a head coach. I'm willing to bet a good majority of coordinators never played in the NFL or played very sparingly like Jason Garrett who was just a backup and probably groomed to be a future coach.
  22. Just go with Ben Johnson. You had a good thing going with Goff last year, lets see if it continues into this year. Remember, Stafford had a big year in 2011 and then regressed. He was around the same age as Goff when the Lions promoted Jim Bob Cooter and Stafford elevated his game and became a more accurate passer. I also think there is something to continuity in coaching. Lets see if Campbell and the Lions can develop coaching talent.
  23. Imagine if a white coach got hired with that rap sheet.
