  1. I really need to read Handmaid's Tale so I can understand what our future looks like.
  2. I'm sure Oklahoma will compromise eventually.
  3. For some reason, I have no doubt this is real.
  4. That would have lead to some epic debates. There were people who said the Lions should have taken Sanchez after Stafford blew out both of his shoulders and the Jets were in the AFC Championship. It could have came down to whoever was cheaper. IIRC, the Lions and Stafford agreed to a contract before the draft which was allowed back then.
  5. What's amazing is the team ahead of the Lions in the Suh and Johnson drafts ended up taking busts at QB. I would probably rate Sam Bradford a bust. The Lions ended up with two generational talents on their roster at the same time with a franchise QB and still didn't win.
  6. I think you have to evaluate Hutchinson on this draft and not previous drafts. It really should be is Hutchinson at least the 2nd best player in this draft. I believe all three of Johnson, Stafford and Suh would be the best player in this draft. It would be interesting to see where they would go in this draft. Provide no trades, which I believe there would be significant interest in trading up, Jacksonville has to take Johnson. This would be interesting for the Lions. We would really know if they were committed to Goff. I think they would take Stafford and Houston takes Suh. I believe all three would be taken before anyone from this 2022 class would get drafted.
  7. The leaked opinion cited the CDC's quote on the lack of domestic supply of infants. They are apparently using that as part of their opinion to overturn Roe.
  8. Of course they don't cite the Bible in their legal opinions. They just reverse search for whatever legal precedent they can fine that affirms their Biblical beliefs.
  9. Buddha is the one playing the violin on the Titanic.
  10. The same people telling us we were alarmist and that Republicans wouldn't overturn Roe are now telling us just be patient and they will compromise.
  11. Is domestic supply of infants in the Bible?
  12. Considering inflation is global, probably neither. We can at least give the Biden administration credit for the record low unemployment and amazing job creation.
  13. Doesn't play well against good teams.
  14. Yeah the Bible contradicts itself all the time and that is what some people live their lives and govern others by.
  15. I think we're getting close to seeing Walt and Jesse, I'm guessing by the first half finale. In Breaking Bad, when Walt and Jesse kidnap Saul, he says it was Ignacio referring to helping set up Lalo. Kim knows Lalo is still alive. Saul probably finds out as well and assumes he is being kidnapped by the Salamancas. I have to go back to Breaking Bad but I believe Saul mentions the Salamancas in that scene. We may even see Badger before. I'm not sure if it was ever mentioned in Breaking Bad if Jesse actually met with Saul prior to that kidnapping or he just of heard of Saul through his friends.
  16. It's not just senate representation. Lets look at the house. Wyoming has one congressman and a population of 576,000. California has 52 congressional districts. Whoa, that sounds like a lot but the average size of a district in California is 750,000. If California were divided up into districts of 576,000, it would have 68 congressional districts. But what about Texas you extreme liberal? Well of course Texas would have roughly 51 congressional districts vs 38, however, Trump only won Texas by 6 points. Biden won California by 29 points. If you start divided Texas up into more districts you will end up with more Democrats. It's why Texas deliberately wanted to undercount it's own population in the state. The Republicans are so desperate to maintain power that they would intentionally forfeit seats because they cannot gerrymander many more districts. Rigged system.
  17. Lets also not forget the filibuster that the Republicans say should not be removed but was removed for Supreme Court justices because it was more valuable for the Republicans to pack the court with conservative judges. Now they have a conservative court for at least another generation or two and will legislate through the courts. That's a rigged system.
  18. Another thing to point out is Republican states that are losing their grip such as Georgia and Texas are making it more difficult for Democrats to win and take over. They are trying to suppress the vote so they do not lose their stranglehold on them.
