Unless you have some super amazing seats, I don’t get the allure of season tickets anymore. Seems like a thing of the past. I can go to any Lions game that I want and have my choice of seat without having to pay for pointless preseason games. I also don’t have to prepay and lock up a few thousand dollars and give the Lions an interest free loan with my money. I really like being able to choose different locations rather than play the stupid seniority game every year hoping for ticket improvements. Another bonus is no annoying telemarketing from a ticket rep pretending to be your best friend.

I’m glad they were able to get this worked out so easily without any unnecessary drama.

There’s a risk/reward that may not be beneficial. So many games come down to a split second bad decision in the defensive zone that turns into a goal at the other end. I think coaches would prefer their blue liners to err on the side of caution and not take risks. As for Seider, he has a different type of talent and can do pretty much whatever he wants well.

We saw KC get called for this a couple times in one of their playoff games so it happens but it’s pretty rare unless you play for the Lions where it gets called on you every single time and maybe even sometimes when you really were onside.

Seider is another level. He’s going to be one of the top blue liners in the league in very short order.

Bert is better but positional scarcity benefits Mantha in the trade market. Let’s ignore the vax issue (which I honestly am not sure that you can), if Im building a team then I’d take Bert over Toffoli. If im a playoff contender looking for a top 6 winger, I’m taking Toffoli everyday over Bert. The guy has scored big time goals in the playoffs over a number of years and that is invaluable. There’s no coulds or shoulds about how he will respond to playoff hockey.

Bert is a fine 2nd or 3rd line left winger. He probably can get a late 1st round from a team in contention. He’s not super unique and I’d say there are probably 50 other wing across the league that are better. Mantha is a much more unique player as there just arent as many quality big bodies that can skate. The power forward is harder to find than a wing that can score 20 goals which is why he got more.

Toffoli has played in 3 Cup Finals and won 2. He’s got 76 playoff games under his belt and has shown he can light the lamp in postseason. Bert has no postseason experience. That’s going to be a big differentiator right now.

Happy for Stafford. He had to leave the Lions in order to win the game that ensures he will some day be enshrined in the hall to fame as a Lion.

My prediction is that Vlad is will enter Ukraine and spend a few weeks doing more saber rattling than actual wartime damage. He will walk away from the negotiation table with all the Western leaders and as tensions rise towards possible WW3, he will choose to negotiate with his favorite asset, Trump. Vlad backs down and Trump takes credit and launches his campaign back to the White House. The plan all along was to get Russia back in control of the White House and not Kiev.

Burks is my preferred of the entire group but he be long gone. London is a physical beast but lacks speed. If he’s around when we pick it’s because he ran a slow 40 I’m not really an Olave or Mechie fan and have no idea what to make of Jamison Williams.

I am a Dotson fan. I think his size is similar to St. Brown but I expect he will run in the low 4.3 and possibly in 4.2s. and put up a vertical higher than 40. I see him as more of a deep threat than a slot guy.

I don’t understand the fascination some teams have for 2nd round picks. There are a few little nuggets here and there but the majority seem pretty worthless. I’m glad that Troy seems feel the same way that I do.

Remember their goal isn’t to actually do anything that truly impacts Russia. The goal is to make them look tough on Russia to their constituents so they can campaign on it even though they are probably taking donations from Russian interests.
