I’m cringing reading this. You are so done. Lol.

Gambling is a lot like baseball. Right when you think you’ve finally got it figured out, it has a uncanny way of humbling you. I hope the run continues but if you start to have a turn of bad luck remember this post.

Today is the day! FA legal tampering starts at 12pm. Signings can be made official on Wednesday. Excited to see what Brad & Co. are going do next. Would love Marcus Williams and Russell Gage or DJ Chark. Not interested in Christian Kirk or Allen Robinson.

Not as much for basketball and definitely not as much for this specific team. I’m not sure this 14 loss version has captured the fans like teams of the past There will be manyTennessee and Kentucky fans in Indy. Hopefully they will be in a different session since I don’t see either rooting for Michigan.

Rodon off the board at a huge number

I’m sure they can find a whole bunch more money if needed through restructuring or cutting a veteran in the last year of his deal.

Rogers comes up with $22m when all future considerations are factored in.

I’m not sure this game would’ve caught on had all the words been like the one today.

That post June 1 money will be valuable for contracts of players they may want to extend. Jonah Jackson ot possibly Hock come to mind. There also will be some nice players that become available after June 1. itt really depends on how the team feels about it’s available cap space for the start of FA. I think they have enough to sign who they want without needed the Flowers money but maybe not.
-
Each contract is structured different but there are times when it makes sense to wait and others where it doesn’t. Also the balance between how teams want to spread out dead money and cap space is always a dance that changes form year to year. It’s almost always better for the player since they become a FA before the start of free agency rather than having to wait until June 1 when teams have already spent a big portion of their budget.

What an embarrassment for Tony Clark. Hopefully he has some pride and will resign his position.- 1,851 replies

I would assume they will be using the post June 1 designation on Flowers.
-
It means that all the benefit of cutting someone post June 1 (usually more cap savings than pre June 1) but don’t have to wait. It’s beneficial to the player as well who doesn’t have to wait in limbo while free agency is going on.
-
Each team is allowed 2 players that can be cut before June 1st but still carry a post June 1 destination for cap purposes.

Juwon needs to go. He’s a great recruiter but he’s got no actual coaching acumen. It’s almost a disservice to these players and their development to keep him in this spot that is way over his head.. The only relevant thing this team got better at this year was understanding how you are supposed to behave when someone disrespects you on the streets of Chicago.

Assuming his legal troubles go away tomorrow, will the league let missing all of last year suffice as his punishment even though it wasn’t an official suspension or will they officially suspend him for many games to start the year? I’m not sure if there’s been any clarity on that. If he’s cleared then I’d trade almost everything that I had for him.

Almost time for a new season of the spectacle that is Formula 1 racing. F1 is never short on drama both on and off the circuit but this season is shaping up as something very special on both fronts. Missing my man Deletrious as this thread on our past forum was mainly two guys talking about racing. The sport is growing is popularity so hopefully new fans will jump on. A new season of Drive to Survive starts tomorrow on Netflix and that should be spectacular.

Let’s wait and see what they Reynolds deal really looks like before making any firm decisions. I assume it’s really a 1 year deal with a bunch of incentives and doesn’t have a big cap number this year. I would hope it won’t have any impact on their ability to sign a marquee WR. If it did, I wouldn’t like the deal very much.
