We are all close to saying the same thing just in different ways. The question is not do the Lions draft for need or BPA. This isn’t up for debate. They draft the best player available on their draft board. They’ve said it countless times publicly over the past few years. There’s no reason not to believe them. The question should be how much does need factor in to the creation of their board? It’s definitely a factor and has some impact in their rankings as we’ve seen in the last few drafts.

FWIW, we are 1 game in and am already sick of hearing “best on best”.

Raymond was the best player for the Swedes. Made an impression on almost every shift. They had him on PP1 as well. Fun game to watch. Both goalies stepped up big time late in a tie game.

Minnesota Wild’s Filip Gustavsson gets the nod over Linus Ullmark for the Tre Kroner. Lucas is +380 to score tonight. Will be interesting to see if he’s on PP2 or not.
