In this day and age, I’m not sure if there are any markets outside New York and maybe LA that can properly support two teams anymore. It’s not hard to get eyeballs on TV screens in populated markets, but it’s hard to develop enough core fans that get in the car and show up regularly to spend their money at the ballpark.
