Sweden and Canada kick it off tonight. In a slight surprise, Jordan Binnington is the first to take his chances as Canada’s top goalie. Adin Hill will backup. Minnesota Wild’s Filip Gustavsson gets the nod over Linus Ullmark for the Tre Kroner. Lucas is +380 to score tonight. Will be interesting to see if he’s on PP2 or not.

Agree. That is total clickbait as he never says anything about Luka or his future for next season. What he said about the fans and the team is why I posted it. He’s exactly right and says it in a meaningful way. Very opposite of some of the storied sound bites from his past.

Looking back on the history of the Kickoff Game, they don’t like a divisional matchup but it has happened 4 times before. Maybe Washington would be the best choice assuming they want to hold off on the Lions.

I assume everyone gets earworms that randomly get in your head for a day or two. Usually, they aren’t even songs that I like, pop stuff that my daughter listens to or TV jingles. This song somehow maneuvered its way into my brain. It’s hard to have a bad day while you’re humming this one repeatedly.
