    So far I’ve been impressed with Penn State, Miami, Texas, Vandy’s QB, Iowa’s offense, Ashton Jeanty, and the next great Ohio St. WR.

    Love Northwestern’s temporary new stadium. Absolutely beautiful lakeside on the last day of August. It’s going to be interesting to see what it looks like in November. EDIT: They have moved the November games to Wrigley Field.

    Jansen had a hot take yesterday morning. He thought Davis Warren is going to be the starter and Orji will come in on specific packages. The defense is too good for them to lose more than 3 games. Don Edwards could win the Heisman if they figure out how to use him right.

    When your name is Dollar General, it’s hard to raise prices to maintain profitable margins while blaming inflation like every other big consumer company has done.

    The idiot Ottawa GM screwed the market for 2020 draft extensions by committing huge money too early to Stutzle and Sanderson. They both got $8.3M and 8M AAV and 8 year term. LaFreniere hasn’t signed and extension yet and Byfield got much less on money and term. It’s created an odd situation trying to figure out proper value for the other guy in the top 5.

    Sudfeld looks and acts like a pro quarterback when doing things under 10 yards. As soon as the play is longer, everything from decision making, accuracy, timing, and overall throw quality falls apart.

    $50 -$65k per month for guys in their 20’s that just got cut from an NFL team is life changing. I’m not sure many would start off making that in a year if they didn’t make practice squad and had to change into a new career without any experience.

    Loren Strickland is so under the radar that he doesn’t even make the list of surprises even though he’s probably the biggest one.

    Lots of interesting names but we know the Lions value the fit into their culture even more than talent. It’s hard to predict who they may have their eye on without knowing anything about that side of the player.

    The problem from the owners perspective is the amount of money they are paying starting pitchers continues to increase while their usage goes down. They want to better maximize their roster spending and get more bang for their buck.

    I give it less than a 50% chance that these shows happen. Even smaller for the rumored North American stadium tour that is supposed to follow. Too much time for these morons to blow it up before next July.
