I believe this is all Boras and Alex has given him full authority to run the negotiations. The interesting part is that Boras has been doing this longer than most of the active GM’s have been alive. A new generation has new ways of doing things and at some point Boras is going to have to adapt to them or get left behind. He doesn’t seem like the adapting type. This could end up horribly wrong and be the beginning of the end of Boras. Or he could do what he always does and get just one GM to cave and give him what he wants.
