She takes a long time to say catering to to the progressives is what caused Democrats to lose touch with the common voter. She’s not wrong but there’s much more to it than just that.
-
Sadly, this has been proven to not be true. All of the points made in your post should be true. Unfortunately, at this time in our history, they are not. Hopefully, that will change but for the moment, you should understand that your point of view does not speak for the majority of America.

Rational and informed people want to believe the country would elect an openly gay man for President. The numbers tell us that a majority of our voting population is not rational or informed.

Do you filter with anything or going rawdog straight from the tap?

Are there people that still drink tap water?

We have entered into an Idiocracy. It’s going to get 10x more crazy over the next 4 years. I’m not sure how much of the past will help us moving forward. They are probably better served to throw out much of what happened in the past and take completely different approach. Democrats need to start treating the will of the American voter just like the 31 other NFL teams treat the Raiders front office. Irrational, unpredictable, and doing things that are not explained or understood through traditional logic. They are going to have to throw out many of their past election strategies and tendencies and dig deep into what is getting through to different groups of voters.

I’d agree in a normal election where you have two candidates with differing world views. This was not a normal election. This was a vote against hate and for the immediate future of our democracy. You either voted for the party that had a chance to defeat Trump or you accepted it and were ok if he won.
-
President Trump thanks you very much for your vote.

I felt this way yesterday but I don’t today. I am also understanding that my views and morals are not in line with the majority of Americans anymore. I don’t see large groups of Hispanic, Muslim, Evangelical, College Bros, and Younger Black men looking past homosexuality when voting for President.
-
Feel bad for Pete Buttigieg today as well. I’ve always thought he’d be a fantastic candidate but today’s reality is America is still decades away from electing a gay man as President.

What’s next for Kamala Harris? What do you think she ends up doing after January 20th. I don’t know what her political future holds at this point.
-
I think everyone only saw positives from the idea of rallying more people to exercise their right to vote. Maybe this result is the flip side of the push to get people to vote that normally wouldn’t due to either no interest or no understanding of politics. This independent block wield enough power that they can tip the scales one way or another without really understanding what they are doing.

The markets hate uncertainty. We know for certain who the president will be and there won’t be any issues with transfer of power.
-
They voted for the wrong person if that’s their issue.
-
The Muslim lack of respect for women outweighed the plight of the Palestinians? That actually makes some sense.
-
Add this to the list of voting segments that just don’t make sense. He’s the more pro-Israel candidate.

Another thing this election has changed for the future will be the acceptance of online betting markets as a reliable predictor. These markets have been calling this for over a year with barely any wavering. Even when the polls were saying Harris, the betting line may have moved but it never flipped from Trump. I’m not sure they will replace polling as the main predictor but they are clearly no longer an afterthought anymore.

I can only go on history and it’s been proven time and time again that Donald Trump does very little of what he promises to do.

My only real criticism would be they didn’t keep the hammer down on Trump’s age and health. When Biden dropped out, Trump was alone staring in the mirror at all of the same questions about fitness and cognitive ability to lead. He showed it even more in the past few months and the Harris campaign barely touched it. That was a thought that needed to be much more on the minds of voters leading up to the election. It’s hard to criticize the overall strategy of the campaign. They were shocked like the rest of us at some of the inexplicable choices made by segments of the electorate. How does it make any sense that a campaign that ran on deportations and a tighter border would have such strong support from Hispanics? How could so many young black men eschew the black candidate for the one that was supported by the klan and white nationalists? How could so many educated suburban women not care enough about woman’s rights and health issues and not care enough to elect the first female president? None of it makes very much sense. I’m now confused on if it’s still possible to have a Democracy that is “by the people and for the people”, when the people are so easily fooled and manipulated.

Since we have to make chicken salad, this is Donald Trump, so most of the things that he promised to get elected will never happen. He’s still a con man. 50% tariffs won’t happen, mass deportations and camps won’t happen, The Department of Education will still exist, Obamacare won’t be repealed, and RFK Jr. won’t be our Surgeon General. What will happen is there will be a revenge tour in Washington and the media. All of the court cases will go away and replaced by bogus investigations into his enemies. I do also fear for the people in Ukraine.

Bovada is up to -1600/+800 That’s bet $20 on Kamala and win $160. That’s huge.

Kamala still gets to 270 with wins in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. Hold The Wall!
