Not trying to be Orioles GM Elias and all but I hope we keep our farm intact this deadline unless the return has multiple years of control. Relief pitchers on expiring contracts should not require over pay. So glad it’s Scottie and not Al at the wheel.
Well, a slump was inevitable, but that doesn’t make it any more pleasurable. Hope they can pull out of it quickly and not give back too much ground, but it is a long long season.
It's sad that it's not surprising Jobe is having surgery. Losing our top pitching and perhaps player to season ending surgery really stinks. Team depth has never been more important.
I think it's all of the above with perhaps a nod to development if we consider Torks and McStinky and Baez improvements attributed to that as well. I remember Harris saying "development" includes at the major league level.
Detroit Tigers hinting down their prey at an impressive rate. Soild and deep roster playing with passion under good leadership. So happy we finally got here.
That makes perfect sense and to clarify when I said we don’t need to sign any of them I meant any particular one not all of them.
But you clarified better than I did.
I’m not sure we need to sign any of those players for their expensive non controlled free agent seasons. Certainly not at over value. Harris just needs to keep the development wheels moving and pick and choose free agents as needed. Max the six years of team control and move on. Financial flexibility is more important than any one or two players.
i really think it’s the Harris blueprint. And most non coastal teams will do the same.
I hope Rainer has a full recovery and maintains his arm strength. Any word that will be the case ? Can he still work on something this year to not lose an entire year of training?
Severence is too slow to develop so skip it but Slow Horses is my favorite series period. But I am bit of an Anglophile and a misfit toy. Plus Gary Oldman and Kristen Scot Thomas are legit actors. Invest60 minutes on one show and you will know either way.
I saw a channel on YouTube yesterday. Forgot the name but the guy orating was named Riley and he is a Jays fan. He speculated a trade for Bichette bringing back Jayden Hamm and Yober Sanchez our number 10 and 30 prospects. Sounds like a measured evaluation.
