it will be on the table and he can use it for leverage with his next nfl team.

weaver is terrible at asset management. dewayne dedmon is still on our cap even though he never played a second for detroit. and even with that he's still been a more productive piston than james wiseman. is stewart a success? i guess so. but that's a pretty low bar for a guy who should really be a backup, to have traded a future first round pick to get him and then signed him to that extension as if he's a foundational player on your team. -
those guys were coaches more than 50 years ago. he was talking about the last 50 years. anything over 50 and those guys and joe schmidt would be on the list.

the league stepped in to "help" the sixers after they became an embarassment at the end of the hinkie days. they might do the same here. that said, hiring colangelo turned out -imo - to be a huge mistake considering what he did with all those picks hinkie accumulated. otoh, hinkie drafted okafor #3, which should have been a fireable offense. the only person who thought okafor was worth a damn was hinkie....and troy weaver. -

or, if we want to go the conspiracy route, maybe williams wants to show gores that the players weaver has given him suck. which would explain why he keeps trotting james wiseman out there. -

who will be the first beat writer to talk about "internal divisions" in the front office over playing time? followed by the subtle "this is why some in the FO balked at hiring monty williams" tweets. that's when you'll know who is getting their info from troy weaver and needs to protect that source. -

everything about this year is inexcusable. -
three straight for the bulls without lavine. albeit over the hornets, but still...
-
yeah, making the move in the offseason makes ALL the difference. gtfo beck.
-
good luck and good riddance.
-
btw, the spurs are 3-17 with worse advanced stat numbers than detroit.

is this worse than 79-80 when they went 16-66? let's remember, before that season started the pistons traded their first round pick for bob mcadoo. that pick ended up #1 and the celtics took joe barry carroll and then flipped him to golden state for robert parish and the warriors #1 pick who ended up being kevin mchale. so not only did they have the worst record in franchise history, they got no #1 pick out of it AND built the foundation for the celtics' dynasty. great work d*ick vitale. so troy weaver still has some work to do to be the worst gm in pistons history. that said, vitale did win 30 games the year before, which is 11 more games than weaver's team has won in the last TWO YEARS! -

"but monte morris isnt here so we really cant judge this team yet." - JEIII (probably) keith langlois will just flat out tell you the pistons are good, it just hasnt translated into wins yet. we can all get mad but it wont matter. gores isnt even awake yet, he has no idea. -

someone should try guarding desmond bane. -
and then scrapped it because they scored too quickly. and then brought a similar scheme back when they had moore/perriman/morton. because he had no identity other than clown. those teams underachieved massively because they had a clown running the team and not a real coach.

to continue the zach lavine discussion, the bulls have won two straight now that lavine is "injured." theyre moving the ball. theyre passing. theyre playing defense. coby white (who the pistons could have had) is on fire. its like theyve had a huge weight lifted off their shoulders. its as if a cancer has been removed from their body. its because zach lavine is a loser. on the lakers where lebron can tell him to pass, he'll be great. on the pistons he will dominate the ball, sulk, and the team will be bad and break apart worse than now. dont do it.

exactly!!!!! he was a moron.

one man's amateur box score reader/you tube highlight watcher/old hockey fan who has seen a lot come and go and been burned by thinking yves racine was the next reed larson... positives: edvinsson is ready now and should really be on the top team. the downside of bringing in petry at the last minute, imo. asp looks like an offensive beast. small but with a great shot and great offensive mobility. defense? shut your whore mouth about defense... danielson was so impressive in training camp. scoring decently in the whl. he still reminds me of a poor man's jonathan toewes. middle: i'm not sold on cossa and hope they trade him for a big piece considering they have augustine waiting in the wings now. mazur has been hurt too long to tell. he needs time to get back up to speed. before the injury he was knocking on the door. i have a feeling his ceiling is a more sound bertuzzi, his likely outcome is veleno. wallinder is in his first year in ahl, too early to tell but he's not exactly lighting it up. buium is still in college but his numbers are ok. his little brother was profiled as an up and coming prospect recently...but not our guy. he may max out as ollie maata if he makes it. or part of a trade like sebrango was. like sebrango he was a surprise subtraction from some national teams. might be maxxing out now. lombardi is really small but i still have high hopes. he's also not ripping it up but its his first season in the ahl. i think the wings are pushing their guys quickly to the ahl this time to give them a taste of the physical nature of the nhl. dropping: kasper hasnt done anything. very disappointing so far. looks like a try hard third line center with some skill. feisty. jt compher ceiling with a brad marchand attitude? a get under your skin guy more than a game breaking talent. soderblum looks more and more like a career ahl/nhl yo yo guy. his skating may never develop to the point he's an nhl player. that said, if he can get stronger and keep his great handle, he might have a career as a gargantuan tomas holmstrom. future: they took a bunch of big defensemen last year. havent heard a ton about them. dower nilsson profiles as a potential scorer but he's not exactly ripping it up this year and he's still in the swedish "minors". compare dower nilsson to asp. asp is two years younger and has 8 goals in sweden's top division. dower nilsson isnt even there yet. buchelnikov is only 20 and is playing full time in russia's top league now. has 4 goals in 24 games. could be one to watch. red savage has 16 points in 16 games for msu this year.

fontes was awful. they had an identity with barry and the run and shoot and then he changed them to a two tight end team overnight. he lobbied for andre freaking ware. pat swilling. every mistake the lions ever made in that time was because of that moron. he went into philly for the playoffs against an 8-8 philly team led by RODNEY PEETE and got obliterated. fontes was a clown, not a football coach.
