its an earl eaver quote. smokes must have borrowed it. -
sure. if there werent questions he wouldnt have lasted until round 3. but there is enough upside there to take him at that point in the draft.
-
hooker was a great gamble in round 3. great season at tennessee. great arm. gets a year (or two) to sit behind goff and get better. if you thought we drafted hooker to back up goff this year, you were misinformed. he has a knee injury. if you want them to draft a qb in round 3 to be a serviceable backup this year, you are also nuts. the lions are entering a period where they should be a playoff team, you dont want a rookie backup in that situation. go get a serviceable vet (or a really serviceable vet like teddy). the only issue with hooker is his age. he's 25 already.

i love bo schembechler. always will. he used to go to church with my grandparents.
-
he cheated. he's also a massive ass who intentionally tried to hurt people. ask justin morneau.
-
the guy compared himself to jackie robinson fer godssake. and then cried racism when someone made fun of him for it. like you said, there's no wink and a nod in his act. it's all bluster. a sound and fury signifying "i'm actually an ass hole."
-
as a developmental qb for the future. great value in round 3.
-
in fear of summoning he who shall not be named, i think 1 and 2 are interchangeable.

TEDDY!
-
it wouldnt surprise me if vatai got cut.
-
the big ten is all about hand wringing. they didnt want to break up the pac 12? they took usc and ucla! now, the pac 12 might have broken up anyway, but the big ten started it. the holier than thou **** from the big ten and from michigan is just after the fact bull****. next up: florida state.
-
romeo okwara would (and could) be a surprise cut. julian? if he makes the team it will be a surprise.
-
easy to rip them when youre michigan. is michigan going to share its money with cmu or emu? nyah.
-
san jose got back a low first round pick and salary. i dont think this was a good deal for them, i think it was the only deal they could get. they didnt get very much for meier or karlsson.
-
what's market value for rodriguez?
-
pittsburgh is going to have one of the best offensive fives and power plays in the league. the REST of the team? hmmm... but its kyle dubas. score score score. defense is for suckers.
-
are they retaining salary?
-
nd has a contract with the acc too. theyre bound by that to some respect. also, they'll join when nbc tells them to join. now they dont need to because they have a path to the playoff and nbc wants to add big ten teams to their schedule. the big ten isnt going to say no to their new partner who is paying them a billion a year. and nd could always go to the sec.
-
you think its bad now? wait until the saudis/qataris get involved. theyre buying up soccer teams, golf leagues, etc. dont think they wouldnt relish the chance to come in and do the same to this cash cow. start a new conference with florida state, north carolina etc? chump change compared to buying man united. become the sponsor of the new college football playoffs after the big ten and sec break away from the ncaa? who knows?
-
those bears linebackers will be great tackling guys 5 and 6 yards downfield...
-
they did that last year. but at some point you have to pass and if justin fields takes too long to throw the ball and only throws it when the guy is open (rather than "throwing him open"), then he'll never be lamar jackson. which was the concern coming out of college with him.
-
he'll be able to afford more street clothes to wear on the sideline when he's injured.
-
exactly, that's basically what indiana would be without the big ten football draw. seriously, iowa, purdue, indiana, they should all be writing thank you letters to michigan, ohio state, and penn state for bringing them along for the ride. as these conferences become mega monoliths concerned with nothing but football cash, will it necessitate the break up of the big ten? will the michigans and ohio states of the world feel ok with dragging along their less monied brethren? or will they want all the cash?
-
how lucky is rutgers? and indiana? and northwestern? and maryland?
