  1. adding usc, ucla, and washington make sense. $$$$$. oregon? a bit of a stretch but they bring nike money with them. we just need to face reality that this is becoming minor league professional football. remember when tampa bay was in the nfc central? the cowboys in the nfc east? eventually its going to be two giant conferences like the nfc and afc. get on board while you can. and if youre indiana or northwestern or purdue, well....hang on to your butts and be very nice to michigan and ohio state.
  2. nobody is saying adding rutgers "is turning out well," were just telling you the reason they were added. im not sure why you think rutgers is a bad addition (which it is) yet you want to double down on that and add washington state and oregon state. lol. come on man.
  3. white sox post game shows have been great. the sox are selfish, lazy, and dumb. a rudderless team wasting talent. promoting chris getz is the most promoting mediocrity because of laziness since al avila.
  4. rutgers and maryland were brought in on the theory that they would put the big ten network on basic cable platforms in new york city (rutgers) and washington dc (maryland). oregon state and washington state bring no such tv markets. the big ten has an 8 billion contract. each school gets X amount of dollars out of that contract. bringing in wsu and osu makes two more schools that get a share of that $8 billion without adding any money to it. therefore, each big ten school currently in the conference gets less money because part of their share would go to osu and wsu. see how that works? cal and stanford were similar. they bring nothing to the big ten now athletically (and unlike wsu and osu, they would bring academic cache). the fact that rutgers and maryland allegedly brought tv markets to the conference in the days before streaming doesnt give a rationale to bring in more schools now. usc and ucla bring the second largest tv market in the country and huge (in usc's case) fanbases. washington gives you seattle. oregon gives you nike money. the tv networks were willing to give the big ten a LOT more money to get usc and some more money for washington/oregon. but they would not give them any more money for wsu/osu. wsu and osu brings you nothing. they are a negative in every way: monetarily, academically, and athletically. anyone thinking they should come to the big ten doesnt understand how modern sports works.
  5. chiefs win 38-13 mcs the next day: "if the lions had ANY RESPECT for their fans dan campbell would be fired TOMORROW!"
  6. it makes zero sense for wsu and osu to come to the big ten and you know it.
  7. why would the big ten split money with two schools that bring nothing to the table? come on. washington and oregon were a stretch. the other two are useless and would only suck money from the remaining schools.
  8. this town is so negative on the sox right now. its so awesome! firing hahn and williams and then promoting chris getz and keeping grifol is the most white sox thing ever! its the bulls hiring jim boylan 2.0. man, i do love when chicago teams do incredibly stupid things. this almost makes up for the nhl giving the blackhawks connor bedard. almost. well...no. but still, its nice.
  9. the vikings are paying hockenson more money than kelce. maybe if he stopped dropping the ball...or falling down immediately after catching it he might be pretty good. actually, he is pretty good. but not "best paid tight end in the nfl" good.
  10. its nice to be able to say "jared goff has some question marks" without it turning into a seven page diatribe that always ends with everyone else being called liars.
  11. whoa there....it's usually the second quarter before mcs and tp start calling for everyone to be fired.
  12. bailey zappe sucks. that's why he was cut. why would they keep cota or drummond? practice squad fodder.
  13. they cant be keeping all of those defenders. surprised they kept cabinda.
  14. the history of drafting kickers is very poor. that's why. they should have just kept prater.
  15. is it ok to bring up the gleybar for matt boyd trade again?
  16. i thought he looked good during the games. they have a lot of defensive ends and might see him as too much of a tweener? or it could be they think he can fetch good value in a trade and they have the position covered? they might want to keep julian okwara and trading someone from the group is the only way to do it? or pff is talking out if their butts. no idea.
  17. (or this year...)
  18. i feel like we have a great aaaa team.
  19. no. the bears are desperate for oline help with multiple interior olineman being injured and they STILL cut leatherwood. do not bother.
  20. syndegaard released by cleveland. didnt even make it to september.
  21. im not interested in giving up assets for another running back. we paid montgomery and spent a top 15 pick on gibbs. not giving up more draft capital for another running back. they have a lot of room for improvement at wide receiver and defensive tackle and oline depth, the last thing they need to do is spend more on ANOTHER running back.
  22. i dont think any of that matters. cowboys got talent for a middling resource. good tradr for them, imo. btw, reports now are that the lions were interested as well.
  23. theyre just hiding the real cause: VACCINES!
  24. https://cwbchicago.com/2023/08/bullet-that-struck-2-fans-during-white-sox-game-may-have-been-fired-a-mile-away.html hey look, someone got shot at the sox game last night. lol. can we shoot that franchise and put it out if its misery? i hope not, because the sox as a national embarassment is really fun to watch.
