he's certainly filling something up...

espn (givony) has whitmore at 6 and walker at 7. nba draft net has whitmore at 7 and walker at 13. all over the map. but i havent seen one map have walker over whitmore. that said, i havent seen many, so there probably are some out there. i think you swing for the fences at 5, and to me that's a player like whitmore and definitely NOT a player like walker.
-
vecinie is only one guy, but he has whitmore in the tier above walker. kevin pelton has whitmore at 3 and walker at 8.
-
it'll be jarace. he's "tough." just like isaiah stewart. undersized, undertalented, but tough.
-
there was no reason to give him a max deal AND a no trade clause. wiz again do it to themselves.
-
whitmore should be the pick.
-
reliever who throws hard but has control problems! yes sir! sign me up!
-
who "found" the league did not properly communicate the gambling policies? oh! the players who got caught? the agents of those players? the union? lol. come on tater.

how would hard knocks covering the lions make the league more money? 1) the contract with hbo is what it is, any supposed ratinga boost for the lions would give the league nothing. and that's assuming a second season with one of the leagues least popular and the worst franchise in its history would somehow lead to more viewers. 2) the jets with aaron rogers or the bears (one of the leagues most popular teams) are available. your last sentence is correct. they dont care about the lions doing hard knocks.

we should trade a couple fringe prospects for a guy like carlos guillen. or placido polanco.
-
lol. like the league would do that. tater starting sunday with the STRONG hot take!

and to continue my thoughts....lets remember that we were one of the worst teams in nhl history just a few years ago, with a bottom of the league farm system. and have had negative lottery luck. we had almost nothing and in a few short years were sniffing a playoff spot late in the season. that's a decent result when you look at other teams like ottawa and buffalo and see how long its been for them. my only quibble with yzerman was spending last year. the team wasnt ready and would have been better off in the long run with a top 5 pick this year.

i didnt think soderblum was physical at all. but it took ras a few years to figure it out, maybe soderblum can overcome his skating deficincies and figure it out too? hope so. i'm more interested in mazur. he looks like the direct type of forward they need. lombardi looks like a raymond close (only faster). im really intrigued by him. theyre still a couple years away from being where buffalo is now, imo.
-
what struck me was how physically dominated their defense was. they couldnt get the puck out of the zone. they dominated walman and really made a point to go after him physically. he couldnt handle it and seider didnt help. ras would have helped that, but he's only one guy. they need to get bigger and stronger on defense. seider being another year older will help that, but edvinsson isnt likely to next year. he's big, but he's young and doesnt appear to be as physical as seider. severson would have helped. i wouldnt be surprised if they pay gudas this offseason for that reason. im sure that's why they brought in chairot, to help with the physicalness. unfortunately he's still chairot and makes too many mistakes. as for up front, they need so so much still. theyre small and not physical at all other than ras (now that they've lost bert, who wasnt particularly big but was very physical). raymond is tiny. zadina is small. berggren isnt physical. that's why i think this year is another rebuild year and why i think a trade that gets them michkov - a guy who is most likely 3 years away - is very intriguing. otoh, i can see the virtue in using two top picks to get two bigger, physical forwards or puck moving defensemen and continuing to bank depth in the hopes of becoming carolina or seattle. but even those teams have top 3 players on their roster whereas we dont.
-
unfortunately, i think that ottawa series showed me how far away this team really is from competing.
-
stern would have axed him for the whole season. one did not **** with david stern's money.
-
no on karlsson. too much money for too long. by the end of that deal we should hopefully be ready to compete and karlsson will be ready to retire.
-
and then we take gradey! because any plan that has us drafting him and having del wear a jersey with the word d*ck on it is worth the price.
-
25 games for ja morant.
-
nobody would do that. maybe moriah mills, but no one else.
