they didnt look very good after they scored. kasper was feisty. soderblum was big but still not throwing his weight around. dallas was more physical. danielson got easily knocked off the puck which led to a dallas goal.

and washington and oregon.
-
those are all good points.

the last thing i am worried about is james wiseman playing well. i am more worried about wiseman continuing to be stupid and a drag on the team and weaver STILL giving him a contract extension because of his "potential."

michigan state cares about one thing: beating michigan at football. urban is very good at that. they should be on the phone to urban asap. you think msu cares that urban is a cheater and a horrible person? good lord, have you followed msu for the last 30 years? lol.

a season without bagley and wiseman would be a wonderful season indeed.

i dont have an issue with people who have been accused of crimes being able to ply their trade and earn a living. if he is convicted he should go to jail. when he gets out he should be able to work again. i believe that for anyone in society convicted of crimes (especially when they've just been accused of a crime) including athletes. people can redeem themselves and deserve second chances. i also realize that organizations need to consider the safety of their other employees and organizational culture. sometimes people like porter are just really bad eggs who ruin everything. in fact, i think porter probably is that type of player and if i were the rockets, this would be a great opportunity to rid myself of a turbulent player. but on principal, i dont think a conviction - and certainly not an accusation, remember derrick rose's "rape" allegation? - is a reason to fire someone and ban him from working in his chosen profession. i realize i am very much in the minority on this issue. lol.

they wont be in the league if theyre in jail. the criminal justice system should put them in jail.

i doubt the jets have any real interest in bridgewater. also, the lions are trying to win now, no need to trade assets.
-
he fell in the draft due to character concerns. he's been dealt once already. he's a selfish cancer on the court. in the end, the pistons got good value for dealing that pick! lol.

jalen carter with the most pressures in the league this week. best pff grade (fwiw) for rookies. i like gibbs, but can you imagine our dline with carter next to hutchinson?
-
i think zach wilson sucks. i think he was the most overrated college football qb prospect since johnny football. small spoiled brat who lived off chucking the ball up and letting his receivers go get it. he'll never make it. i would still take him over those three guys.

who?

i'll believe livers is a bona fide nba player when i see him play a meaningful stretch of games without getting injured. i like him, but i havent seen a whole lot yet. even when he is healthy.
-
honest question: what would you give the pistons for wiseman or bagley? i also wonder if harris really has a role in the league anymore. he may be an injury/cut guy.

we as a society have decided individuals are no longer responsible for their own actions. everything is someone else's fault or society's fault. just watch the legal industry.

Week Two: Seattle Seahawks (0-1) @ Detroit Lions (1-0)

i think jones is cooked too. -
as someone who works in the legal industry, let me tell you this: you can ALWAYS find a doctor to say that someone is injured. i assume the players will do that. now, unlike the great american legal system, the league office is the decision maker and not 12 dumb asses who couldnt get out of jury duty, so it may not work in the way it works in court...

kwahi - the king of load management and stealing money - will start the game, play 2 minutes, then go the bench for the rest of the game. paul george will do the same. or they'll alternate halves.

beware week one overreactions. -
good for the nba. people pay to watch good players play basketball, not your bull**** load management.

mel tucker discovers the honey pot. msu will pay her a few million tax free dollars and she can retire. mel gets his settlement (and his wife gets half of that). and the lawyers take 40%. as god intended.
-
this is the best thing that could have happened to msu football. they get rid of their $80 million albatross. if it costs them $40 million, its a bargain for them. the flip side is that the same brain trust thst brought you mel tucker has to make the next decision. their delusional fan base thinks theyre getting deion sanders. in all likelihood, they'll hire whatever coach beat michigan sometime in the past two seasons. is tcu's coach available? is tcu's waterboy around?

Week One: Detroit Lions (0-0) @ Kansas City Chiefs (0-0)

fields is such a good runner and the bears oline is so bad that its hard to say. they signed nate davis from buffalo and he was AWFUL yesterday. darnell wright is a good prospect but he's a right tackle and will take a while to get good (remember how sewell struggled early...you know, back when tp was saying how stupid the lions were for passing on fields). fields is so physically talented that its weird that he's so ineffective throwing the ball. if you give him - or any nfl qb - all day to throw he will find someone open. the bears should realize what they have and just go to an option/rpo college style offense. using fields' legs and tricking the defense is the only way they'll be able to move the ball consistently. its how they scored last year. big plays from fields. if you dont live here you dont realize just how annoying bears fans can be. all summer long its been talk about how this is the year fields becomes a superstar. you have numb nuts like greg gabriel mascarading as nfl analysts saying how the bears are going to win the division, blah blah blah. chicago sports fans are usually ass holes, but this summer was especially bad. which makes the fall of the white sox and the bears losing to green bay in week one that much sweeter. watch, if they beat tampa there will be super bowl talk again.
